Supernatural (CW) -- The 15th and Final season thread -- Premieres 10/10/19

THE CW PRIMETIME LISTINGS FOR THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10, 2019 (ALL TIMES ET)

Please note:

∑ The title for the season premiere of SUPERNATURAL ("Back and to the Future") has been updated. SUPERNATURAL will air Thursday, October 10 (8:00-9:00pm ET).

THURSDAY, OCTOBER 10

SEASON PREMIERE

SUPERNATURAL

"Back and to the Future" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV)

THE BEGINNING OF THE END - Picking up here we left off last season, Sam (Jared Padalecki), Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Castiel (Misha Collins) are left to defend the world after all the souls in hell have been released and are back on Earth and free to kill again. John Showalter directed the episode written by Andrew Dabb (#1502). Original airdate 10/10/2019.

20 episode final season

Can't believe I've made it all 15 seasons. I know some here bailed either after Kripke's 5 season arc or at some point later due to the show just being on so many years. But, this is the official end.

For those unaware, Jared Padalecki already has a job lined up after the show wraps. He's filming a pilot for a Walker, Texas Ranger reboot. It's being shopped around.

I'm mad that little shit Jack killed Mary towards the end of last season. Samantha Smith is a hottie MILF.

Love this show. It's comfort food. It was shaky early, then was absolute gold for a few seasons. Now it's just like a warm bath and I will miss it a lot. Hope they give the brothers a happy ending.

Good start. I kind of liked this new sarcastic demon taking over Jack's body. He was kind of funny.

Nice little callback to the Pilot with the trunk closing and a quick flashback to the boys 15 years ago. If he's sticking around, hopefully they bring back his eyes.

19 episodes to go :'(

It was time and I'm happy they decided to end it rather than drag it on another decade, but it's going to be weird not seeing Sam & Dean after this season.

That was fantastic! The trunk scene was perfect.

Only recently started watching it again but only select episodes.
For me, the episodes after season 5 were either hits or misses.
Still, it'll be sad to not have any more new episodes.

Nice to see Kevin Tran again in the 2nd episode. But damn, shitty fate for the character to walk the earth as a ghost for eternity as opposed to going to hell.

Not a great episode, but it served to follow up to last week.

It seems like this season is going to be a "greatest hits" type thing. And that sounds good to me. Whatever happened to Crowley? Is he dead? I miss him calling Sam & Dean, Moose and Not Moose.

Yeah that seems like it.

IIRC Crowley was killed by Lucifer or something and Mike Sheppard said he was done with the show (though that doesn't mean he won't make an appearance to close the show out).

Thatís a pretty crappy ending for Kevin. Go back to Hell or roam the world as a ghost, go mad and then have a hunter send to there years later. I wonder, if at the end the show goes deus ex machina to give everyone a happy ending.

I think it will have a happy ending. God/Chuck's power will be transferred to Sam and he will become God. Sam will end all the heaven/hell/angel/demon stuff once and for all. Dean, Cass and Jack will remain hunters of terrestrial monsters like vampires and werewolves. If they ever get in a bad spot they can just call on Sam/God.

For just the 3rd episode in this final season, that ending was up there with some of the season finales.

Agreed. That was all types of badass. I was just starting to like Catch too.... This is how you do a final season. They are firing on all cylinders already.

I can't link to it from work but Jared P was arrested over the weekend for getting in a drunken fight at some bar he goes to frequently. Looks like another rehab visit might be in his future.

https://www.tmz.com/2019/10/27/super...drunk-assault/

Jared Padalecki arrested for 2 counts of assault and 1 count of public intoxication.

I wonder if this could affect production of the show. He has to eventually get back to Vancouver to continue filming.

I'm amazed famous people would ever get drunk in public. It's just a recipe for disaster and can only hurt them either financially or otherwise.

Apparently he owns the bar he was kicked out of.

I enjoyed the most recent episode. Kind of fun to see Becky back, and we'll see what Chuck wrote.I have to say though Sony are idiots if they don't cast Jensen Ackles as Nathan Drake in uncharted after watching that cold open.

While I would love to see Jensen as Nathan Drake, they already cast Tom Holland as Nathan and Mark Wahlberg as Sully. They are going young.

I know people here hardly ever talk about this nowadays even though this is the final season.

There's going to be a long delay in the episodes. The showrunner gives an update here:

Re: Supernatural (CW) -- The 15th and Final season thread -- Premieres 10/10/19

The show moved to Mondays last week since Black Lightning's season is over.

Tonight is episode 13 and there's still 7 more episodes left.

Because of the shutdown as he states, they cannot finish post production on episodes 14 through 18.

19 and 20 have not been filmed yet.

The show is going to go into a very long hiatus.

Really sad/mad that a 15 year story is getting its ending screwed up. We'll get something eventually, but we'll never know what the planned ending was gonna be, this'll likely warp the hell out of it.

(No, you don't need to tell me: it's just a TV show, and there are sick folks dying, so shut yer complaint hole,)

Assuming the humankind survives, I cannot imagine them not filming the last two episodes. Not those leads.
