I don’t hate the show or full season threads.

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 10/8/19

Decent start. There’s a new showrunner that has said he’ll structure this differently than prior seasons, i.e.
Spoiler:
no big bad that lasts 22 episodes. The first 8 or so episodes is an arc, then there’s COIE, then a new story for the second half. He said that even he got aggravated at seeing villains like The Thinker taking a full season to be defeated.

Also, I loved the Flash Gordon music. That was a nice touch.

Maybe he can thin out Team Flash over the course of this season. It's just too damn big.

Wasn't the actor who plays Cisco talking about leaving the show? Seems Chester would be a candidate for replacement.

That's what I thought.

Hopefully, they'll thin the herd with Crisis instead of swapping characters.

Flash jumping into a black hole?
Flash jumping into a black hole set to Queen?

Why is that in a spoiler? No big bad for a full year (two separate arcs) is what everyone has been dying for on this forum.

So there you go, not having it in a spoiler might bring some viewers back, or at least move Flash back up the priority list of things to watch.

Seems like this season will all be filler until the crossover anyways.

Liked the episode, it was totally over the top.

Nice seeing Chunk. Wish they had hired a heavy set actor to play the role.

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 10/8/19

I thought it was an ok season premier. Flash in the black hole was pretty cool and hearing Flash by Queen was awesome. I just hope the series isn't going to be running in place(so to speak) until Crisis begins.

It was great seeing Chunk, I have fond memories of the character and his run-ins with Wally West. A shame they didn't cast a larger actor as you said.

I loved the song being played as Flash saved the day. Great selection for that scene.

Because in the past I’ve seen people get pissy when spoilers aren’t in tags.

Ohmigod I can’t believe I didn’t even catch that was Chunk. I loved the old 80s Flash stuff he was in but I never made the connection with the black holes etc. Did they ever call him Chunk in the episode? I wouldn’t mind seeing the character return.

Damn, I didnt make the Chunk connection either! Awesome they finally used Queen. Though I didn't like Cisco that much in this ep. Get on team flash or off!

Re: The Flash (CW) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 10/8/19

This episode was fun--especially Cisco playing the Flash Gordon theme as everyone has pointed out.

Was that voice effect for Killer Frost new? Or maybe different? I hadn't really noticed it before.

Did Barry just destroy all the windows on the side of that high-rise when he was chasing down the Godspeed impersonator? Seems kind of reckless--probably would have caused a lot of injuries or worse.

And, oh man, not ten minutes into the season and Iris is already lying to Barry and her family (about why she was at the garbage place). These people never learn.

Said something later yet why lie about it. The jacket got tossed out and I went looking for it because it's important to me......................and? I'm more shocked when people are upfront with people.

It sounded like they tweaked it a bit. It sounded different to me too.

So how long until we get another Wells?

It was fine. I was unaware there was a new show runner. I actually really enjoyed having 1 big bad all season long. It’ll be interesting to see how this season progresses. And yeah, team Flash is 2-3 members to big right now. Hopefully a couple bite the dust in the crossover event.

Yeah, Cecil and Joe need to go back to their regular gigs. Shouldn't the new police captain be at the station and not always hanging out at STAR Labs? Iris needs to spend more time building her journalism thing, and Cisco's girlfriend doesn't belong there at all.

Shave it all down to Flash, Cisco, Caitlin, Ralph and hopefully new Wells.

Just a rumor as far as googling can tell.

With Cecil's eyes like that I was thinking they're setting him up to replace Cisco and give him powers.

Everyone's entitled to change their mind. Probably realized he's got a great gig and it would be foolish not to ride it out to the end.

One of the articles mentioned a new Team Flash member showing up early this season which would be a potential Cisco replacement if he decided to hang it up.

The Flash Gordon song use was excellent.
