I don't think she wanted to hang around at a price the network and production company were comfortable with. The new Superman show made Supergirl much more expendable.

It was a good run 
6 years for a TV show is respectable. Besides, it's not like DC shows are going away so rotating in/out shows for various reasons is good.

I'm happy about the news. There's a lot of bloat in the Arrowverse and cutting down some of the shows is probably a good thing. What I really wish they would do is more half seasons so there wouldn't be so many filler episodes. Keep the diversity in shows but focus on a tighter narrative. But of course I know there's a lot of logistical issues with that.

The thing is those filler episodes pay for themselves on the back end in syndication deals and overseas rights. Stargirl's season would have been longer if it hadn't been originally made for DC Universe.

As I mentioned in the beginning of this season, this was my first time watching this show (watched full season) . Anyway I just started watching Season 1 (Netflix), I'm only watching like 2 episodes a day at night before I go to sleep. So it'll be a while before I finish the first 4 seasons. Enjoying them so far.
