Aside from one line in the last first episode there really hasn't been anything too over the top so far and I do like that they are not dragging who Alice is and just says who she thinks it is. (So used to people keeping everything to themselves for episodes on end)

Maybe I'm just not seeing the major issues that some do or I'm easy to entertain.

I’m enjoying it. Wonder if they’re bringing back the red hair though, I dig that look.

Obviously it's a change to the suit that has been hinted at during both of the episodes by them keep saying she's being mistaken for Batman.

Batwoman would have been better received on another network less inclined to run with SJW themes - the CW burned almost all its goodwill with fans after the rapid declines of Arrow and especially Supergirl. It's hard trusting the CW with Batwoman after they let Supergirl become so heavily politicized.

That is the headwind Batwoman faces building an audience.

It’s baked into the bread of the character from the comics. You and others will have to get over it. Hopefully it’ll at least be written well.

Second episode was solid. Much better performance from Alice.

Second episode was a lot better than the Pilot. Some really good dynamics between Kate and Alice and I liked the flashbacks that explains how things led to this.

and it looks like the Red wig is making its debut next week.

Hey, once again they throw some potential drama in the garbage. Like seconds after they hint that someone else is involved, they tell us who it is for no fucking reason. I understand it will be fun to have some dramatic irony when the audience knows who is working against Kate, but can we keep anything a mystery for even five minutes on this show?!

Watched two episodes. It just all seems like paint by numbers now in the Berlanti Universe.
Not a big fan of Ruby's acting either.

Networks just don't like drawing out any mysteries with the jumpy viewers of today. Part of it is the prevalence of spoilers all over the net and social media, making it impossible for almost everyone to remain unspoiled. Cape shows have it the worst, as there are entire boards devoted to them where even the tiniest bit of news gets dissected.

Re: Batwoman (CW) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/6/19

Couldn't stand the pilot but watched all of the second episode. IMHO, Rachel Skarsten is the only good thing about this show, and she's just a small part. It's pretty obvious why Rose wasn't given any lines in the John Wick sequel, she's just wooden and lifeless. I actually think a lot of the hate this show is getting may be from trolls, but a lot of it is justified. The average joe viewer would look at something like this and probably be able to detect the bad writing and acting and make an accurate judgment about its quality.

Was hoping Hush would stick around longer and be a background villain. Maybe later.

Re: Batwoman (CW) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/6/19

Okay is it just me or was the whole "becoming Batwoman" bit poorly timed?

IIRC, she leaves multiple friends and family trapped on an elevator at the whim of a villain set on killing them, so she takes off back to the Batcave to? Finally decide to embrace her role? Maybe? Take the time for Luke Fox to fix the hole he blasted in the suit. Spray paint said suit (cleanest spray paint job ever, btw). Dig up a red wig from where? Did Bruce just happen to have one laying around? Then on the way back stop at CVS for some bright red lipstick that Kate Kane wouldn't be caught dead with.

THEN we can save the trapped people?

Also, Batchick? That's the best a supposed reporter can come up with in a world where BatMAN exists? Holy shit that would make Cisco cringe.

Thank goodness! Usually any new show I start watching gets the boot. Glad to see it's getting a full season of episodes.

It's not just you... I was also thinking it was poor timing when I watched the episode. And yeah: Batchick? Seriously?

I'm giving this show one more ep. After that, I'll continue watching and supporting the series.

Been playing catch up and have been enjoying the series so far. It is very Arrow-esque. Kind of like the whole Laurel/Sara thing that went on.
