This is the movie teaser, which is really just an animated graphic. It's teasing Rick Grimes will return only in theatres. Universal Pictures is releasing it. But as of right now, there's no official release date or director attached.

Probably won't come out until at least 2021 at the earliest if it gets made.

I would think at this point the movies will be limited release in theaters for a day or two and then go to a streaming service for AMC Shudder or whatever. as this project would bomb in full release but may be an event thing where it has a limited run in theaters- like an exclusive AMC theater release for a few days.

Why would anyone pay to see the Rick movies in a theater???

Why would you think that when AMC announced it will only be in theaters?

AMC also says the show is still good ...

AMC also thinks they are barely half way into their "20+ years master plan" with a plethora of spin-offs on the way?

AMC is desperate to believe this is still a hot property and it still gets some of their best ratings so.... they overlook the 70% drop in ratings...

A creator/producer/director/writer/whatever should have a story they want to tell or a purpose to the tale. The audience should not always get what they want, they should get twists and turns and things that keep the story compelling. A creator/producer/director/writer/whatever should be in tune to the audience and providing them with some satisfaction though, otherwise they won't have an audience.
The Walking Dead's previous showrunner was too far up his own ass to be in tune with the audience. I'm not sure where this current one is landing though. She is all over the map with no sense of direction. Right now, it feels as if the only direction is "Fill 16 episodes each year" just as Kathleen Kennedy's only direction with Star Wars was "It will be a trilogy!" Neither one has a story to tell.

Squeeze(2020) 10.9
Second half of season 10 starts tonight or if you get early access with AMC premiere club it already aired.
Is this show even worth a new thread? I gave up on Fear last year, and did not watch a single episode.
With the Walking Dead I kind of just watch it in the background while on the internet.
Got to say this episode has a few wtf parts that I'll post about latter and the war against the whispers should start this season.I hope the walkers win

It was actually nice that it was off for what seems like a long time. I didn't really miss it. Now I'll have an extra 2 hours of shows every Sunday (yes, I watch Talking Dead for some reason). I think we're probably looking at no long breaks until next the next mid-season break in November counting the spinoffs in between season 10 and 11.

Negan is stealing the show. His dialogue when he comes up on Alpha dropping a deuce at the edge of camp.
7/10 + Negan. 5/5 with annoying carol.

For the last couple seasons, Carol's become an annoying character.
So did they officially kill off 2 more characters? If so, while they're not the first or second string characters - they've been around a bit and the we're getting a skeleton crew left on this show.
Not that Rick knew these characters, but at this pace - by the time he gets back he'll probably only know a few people.

As for the girls, I initially thought they had to be dead, just from the blast, but then I watched the scene again and saw that they survived the blast (smh), and stuff caved in between them and the spot where the others exited. Based on that, I'm sure they'll survive.

is it any better or more of the same? A few FB friends say it's improved recently... but IDK if I want to waste my time.

What I found weird was that for a while everyone basically just sat around and didn't try to find a way out. How many paths/tunnels could there be? And regardless, you should be trying to find a way out right away.
I found the panic to get out of the narrow tunnel because of walkers following them to be dumb. You spear a walker or two in the head and they'll essentially clog the tunnel and the other walkers behind them can't get through.

Didn’t realize this was back ... I was so apathetic by the end of the last run that I‘ll probably wait a few weeks.
Anyway, I think the use of Carol has been one of the biggest tragic screw ups this show has made from day one to now. Her journey from meek abused wife to becoming a leader and a badass would be an amazing long-form story on its own. Unfortunately, the show runners over the years have not had much of a clue about how to tell an effective story.

This show keeps getting darker and darker to watch. It's almost making me change the brightness settings on the tv just to see what the hell is happening.

Yeah she went from cute and super talented to now being an overacting blob on this sinking ship. Morvern Callar and Sweet and Lowdown are probably her highlights as an actress; both worth seeing.
Literally had to change my tv settings to be able to watch this shitshow.
Show should honestly just reboot with Negan and Judith as lone survivors a la The Road.
