When you start the season, the season premiere will have a montage before the episode which plays out to "Carry On My Wayward Son". That's the recap you are looking for.

Supernatural is a heavily serialized series. Jumping in blind at season 13 isn't recommended. I guess you could read a wiki of the show's major plot developments.

Start from the very beginning with the first two seasons. They are the best in the series.

Considering the first 5 seasons are by far the best and where the original creator intended to end the series. It would definitely be recommended to watch them.
Seasons 1 & 2 are by far the best of the series though.

Season 13 is just too far ahead. I would start with season 1.

While I can't be sure if the thread starter is legitimately wanting an answer to this question or just trolling, you're going to be lost if you start in Season 13. Start from the beginning...

You're going to be completely lost if you start with season 13. It picks up after a cliffhanger and there are characters/storylines in it that were introduced in season 12.
