Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

No topic for this one?

3 seasons so far.

I'm only 2 episodes in but I'm loving it so far.

Reviews for it are very good.

Spanish, with dubbed in English and the occasional subtitle.

Too many damn shows at this point. Even good ones are getting lost in the churn. This one looks interesting.

I certainly can't keep up. This was suggested to me by someone and I'm glad they did.

Now I have 3 seasons of it to get caught up on!

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

I mentioned it on another thread, but that’s my main gripe about Netflix. They make so many shows, by the time I even notice them or someone mentions one to me, those shows will have been on 2-3 seasons already. Usually by then I’m watching whatever the new show is, so I’ll never really get around to the older stuff.

One of the best shows I have ever seen through season 2...

Season 3 well it should have ended at season 2.

I lost interest towards the end of season 1. Just seemed like the type of show that would drag shit out forever ...

Did I mention I fucking hated season 3???

Watch the first 2 and let it end there. Really good stuff.

Spoiler alert there will be a seas on 4 that I won't watch.

I just wrapped up season one. Really enjoyed it. I wasn't sure where it was gonna leave off or if it was going to be one tidy ending for that storyline. I won't say anyway!

On to season two!

This is apparently one of their most popular show on an international level.

This was a pleasant surprise - didn't know a new season was coming.
S04 is next up for me, after I finish 'Tales From The Loop'....

Season 4 was much better than part 3 or season 3. However as much as I like it Netflix may be just milking it a bit too much. If it keeps going I will still watch which is what they want duh. The documentary about it was pretty standard and nothing groundbreaking.

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

This show is very entertaining and also very corny. Some of the acting is straight up bad or badly written (The Professor who has literally an answer for everything; the guy must be a doctor, a physicist, a mathematician, a lawyer, a psychologist, a chemist, etc. all rolled into one), but I canít deny that itís super entertaining and the flashbacks actually add a lot to the show.

it reminds me of Prison Break in both structure and the personalities of the characters. That show went way off the rails after season 1. Iím only on season 1 of this show

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

Ok I finished the 1st season and the show has worn very thin on me. Too many liberties with reality and plot holes to sustain my interest. Itís very much cut from the same cloth as 24 and Prison Break, the show absolutely strains believability to its limits. Thereís also some horribly bad acting on the show.

not only that, but miraculously no one dies in spite of all the circumstances. No one stays injured for long, someone is back to a fully functioning arm within 48 hours of being shot in the shoulder.

This show is becoming too ridiculous for me.

You probably will want to cut your losses and not continue.
I have two eps left on season 4, and while I agree that conceptually/logically the show is far-fetched, I like the characters and I am a sucker for the heist genre.

I enjoy the show...

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

I see that I was very critical of season 3. As you can see I did cave and watch part 4 but
Spoiler:
not happy it ended in a cliffhanger yet again. Just wanted some closure this season. [spoiler/].

But season 4 was better but even more ridiculous than the previous season.

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

I've just finished season 3. Liked it, though the plot does get pretty ridiculous at times. And all the relationship stuff is kinda silly, like it's some moody high school kid writing it. But I like the cat-and-mouse aspect of it, and the show does a good job of building tension at pivotal moments. I'm going to take a little break before starting S4.

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

I watched season 4 over the last few days. It was a lot of fun--especially the twists and turns in the last couple of episodes. Still pretty corny in a lot of ways. I wish someone would put a bullet in Denver's head--he's the most annoying character by far. Oh, and Arturo. I'd like the rest of the hostages to get fed up and just beat him to death. Sorry, that was dark.

Boom, boom, ciao!

It's been renewed for a fifth and final season.

Surrendering is not an option.
Money Heist returns with Part 5: Vol. 1, September 3, only on Netflix.

I tapped out in season 3, the idea seemed played out then, I can not fathom how they got to season 5 with this show.

It's ridiculous beyond belief, but I still find it entertaining for the characters.

Re: Money Heist aka La casa de papel (Netflix)

Enjoyed volume one of S05 quite a bit.
Yes, the show has pushed the level of being believable out the window a long time ago, but I really love the characters (as well as being a die-hard 'heist genre' fan).

These S05 eps ratcheted up the action big-time, and though I will miss the show when it's gone I look forward to the final block of eps in December.
