This looks like it will be a fun season. I like the Voyage home homage concept. I don't know if it's her haircut, but the android/synth girl looks like she gained some weight.

Weíll see. The trailer looks alright, but season one left such a sour taste in my mouth by the end. Alison Pillís character really annoys me.

Star Trek has become overly reliant on time travel storylines recently too.

Not saying they didnít do time travel stories before, but thatís kind of becoming more of a regular staple in the Kurtzman era. Discovery has done it, now Picard is, and also the Abrams films, which he was involved with used it. Not just one off episodes either, but like full story arcs.

Got that. I feel like they've overused Time Travel since the 80's. Made doing it way too easy.

I do like time travel stories yet I will agree that they are doing them a LOT. Plus there is a difference in doing one episode vs an entire season. Even so, should be fun and I'm sure to enjoy it.

I want to agree that they're overused, but then you have something like Voyager's Relativity with Seven in a Starfleet uniform going back in time, or DS9's The Vistor with Jake Sisko ripping our hearts out of our ribcages with a bat'leth and you just want to say "keep em coming".

Don't get me wrong, i enjoy Time Travel Trek stuff. But like i said, they make it too easy to do.
it shouldn't be as easy as just go fast around that planet and poof we are exactly where we aimed for.

At least in Discovery there was specific tech created to do it. Even then it wasn't perfect.

Star Trek does time travel right, unlike alot of shows. Yesterday's Enterprise is brilliant, not to mention All Good Things, City on the Edge of Forever, hell I even liked the Voyager finale.

It amused me even as a kid how easy time travel seemed in The Voyage Home. Just listen to Bones: "Sure, slingshot around the sun." Like, hey, yeah, no biggie. (2:46)

It was based on something from TOS, they didn't just pull it out of their ass for the movie.
It was originally done in Tomorrow is Yesterday, then in Assignment: Earth.

It's actually a great example of them respecting past continuity.

Yeah. I mean, when you travel faster than light on the regular, why wouldn't you expect some occasional time travel?

No one said they pulled it out of their ass and it still seems to to make Time Travel way too easy and too accurate.

Is it terrible or just par for the course with New Trek that I couldn't tell you a single thing about any of the characters from season one except the legacy ones.

I am looking forward to some time traveling to the current day. It's been a long time since we've had one of those stories.

Oh, I can remember the characters, they were actually pretty interesting. Raffi being a drunk in the desert, the ship-for-hire captain with his holo clones, Seven of Nine being space Robin Hood and of course the Romulan housekeepers that stole the show.

What was the plot? Eh, Data had a kid or something.

Season two of Star Trek: Picard will premiere on Thursday, March 3. Following the premiere, new episodes will drop weekly on Thursdays. Star Trek: Picard is currently in production on a previously announced third season.

Seasons 2 and 3 are being filmed back to back. Season 2 is already in the can and will air in March as mentioned above.

No breaks. There is literally new Star Trek content non-stop from March through July with some hold over

Re: Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+) -- News, rumors, etc.

I really enjoyed the first season of Picard and am looking forward to the next two. Think I'll binge a few Q episodes to get ready.

DS9 is my favorite, but I like almost all of Trek, even Voyager and Enterprise. Discovery is the only one I just can't get into.

Not sure if Iím actually going to put myself through watching another season of this, but a new trailer dropped for season two.

Something I noticed- is Raffi not returning? I wasnít particularly fond of her character, but I donít know that I see her at all in the trailer. She might be in one very short clip but I couldnít tell for sure.

I think I see Raffi at the start of the trailer, but you just see the back of her head. Also pretty sure she was in the teaser they released last year.

At first blush it looks like they might be doing the origin of the mirror universe, but I hope not.

Michelle Hurd is in season 2. She was in the 1st trailer that aired on Star Trek day.

You're entitled to your opinion, but you really sound not enthusiastic about this at all. You should hang out with Robert Meyer Burnett, Star Trek TNG BD producer and pundit. He absolutely despised season 1 and ripped it every week on Twitter and on his YouTube channel. It got to the point where he was just watching just to troll the show. And that was super annoying.

Coming at it as a massive TNG fan and someone who loves Picard as a character as well as Patrick Stewart as an actor, I really wanted to love Star Trek: Picard. Just hugely disappointing though.
