I know dex14 is out of town and is only posting in limited spurts, but if he sees this, I think it's time to spin off all the Star Trek: Picard news into it's own thread now.
It’s not like you need moderator approval to create a series thread..

Gobsmacked to learn about Jeri Ryan joining. This could really be interesting now.

Trailer looked awesome. Nothing else needs to be said, really. I will now stay as spoiler free as possible.

I heard Jonathan Del Arco who played Hugh in the "I, Borg" episode was in the trailer. I didn't see him unless he was the person being dissected on the table in the trailer.

Content and news on Picard already existed in that big thread and that's why it made more sense for him to break it, which he did.

Some fans in this forum probably didn't bother reading the thread because of it's length and it wasn't specific enough that there is a new Star Trek show with Patrick Stewart coming.

Honestly, I don't think I've ever been as excited about a TV series as I am after seeing this!

With the cast assembled so far....and with "Picard" where he belongs after 20 year absence.....this might be the best Star Trek stuff we've seen in ages....

I also like that it'll be later period Trek, rather than the more recent shows and movies that have gone back to the earlier days of the Federation.

I watched a TV Line interview. I couldn’t tell if the cast was being cheeky, but I think his pet dog may be called “Number One”!

re: Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+) -- News, rumors, etc.

this is starting to really intrigue me.

if they can pull off an engaging (no pun intended) and thrilling show with a lead of advanced age, then I hope the folks making Indy 5 take notice.

No need to subject yourself to that! Data sacrifices his life to save Picard's, but conveniently uploaded his memories to the very convenient B4 android who also showed up. Who or how Brent is playing "Data" this time out remains to be seen.

As for the new show, I cannot wait!!! Like everyone else, I had zero clue that Jeri Ryan was reprising Seven of Nine, although I suspect she'll be known as Annika Hansen now. Add to that "Data", Riker, Troi, Hugh, the Borg and the Romulans and it's like a love letter to my childhood. Bring it on!

I just really hope it’s good and not hot garbage like Discovery is. Trailer is looking promising and I like that some of the cast is coming back. I’d like to see Levar Burton and Michael Dorn back at some point too hopefully.

I’m dubious on Dorn appearing he hated the Klingon makeup. Imagine if they made him appear in the prosthetics from Discovery

given enough money I'm sure he'd do it. plus, I'm sure they've made it a bit easier to apply/remove/deal with by now.

Dorm hated the makeup so much he did seven seasons of TNG and then just for fun he did 4 seasons of DS9. And he’s talked about doing a Captain Word show.

He’ll do it if they ask.

re: Star Trek: Picard (Paramount+) -- News, rumors, etc.

I had no idea who this Hugh character was/is. They even described it and I had a faint memory of the scene. I’m guessing it was a season 6 or 7 episode?

How did you all know it’s Romulan vs Vulcan characters shown?
