I know you didn’t mean to put “first person” twice, so I’m going assume you meant “third person” for the second instance.

He did. There was that scene where said that it was pre-dawn (he was with Finlay) and called the professor and the distraught assistant answered that she was too upset to sleep.

Just finished it with my wife. Awesome fun. She hates all the violence but loved the show. Ritchson is so great in this. It will be sad to not see the rest of the cast from S1, but I love how they have the opportunity to do a completely fresh reboot every season.

About halfway through the series so far and really liking it. I've been meaning to read the Reacher books and never got around to it. Think I will check them out. Really enjoy the chemistry between the three main leads. Getting real tired of Titans, so it's nice to see Ritchson in something else.

They definitely need to work that "I set an alarm clock in my head" into next season.

Finlay questioned him on how he knew what time it was and he gave an explanation in that particular moment.

Fun show after the first few episodes. I know I've seen the first movie but I don't remember anything about it.

Is the book character supposed to be so oblivious (someone above mentioned on the spectrum)? He comes off as too close to Drax in some scenes.

According to
.. they shot this thing super quick to hit a target date with little to no rest. Probably lend itself to how he came across on film.

I'm now through 5 episodes. I was surprised by the nude sex scene with Roscoe and Reacher. But they hinting they had a romantic connection.

I liked the addition of Neagley. She and Reacher worked well together.

KJ is such a piece of shit. I loved Reacher beat the shit out of him and the others in that restaurant.

Yea I liked the show glad for s2. But something felt off about this show and I can't total figure it out. Like the pacing or something.

He just doesn't care about how he comes off to other people. And he has zero tolerance for small talk, niceties and bullshit. That's how he's always written. Ritchson actually gave him MORE personality than he has in the books.

It’s hard to watch the credits for this when Amazon gives you like 3 seconds to hit the remote before it goes to the next episode.

I was surprised to see the now 75-year-old Paula Wagner as an executive producer on this.

She and Tom Cruise were producing partners on tons of stuff for many years until they had some kind of falling out around 2008.

Didn’t realize she was still working, good for her. Kind of odd seeing as how Cruise played Reacher in the two films.

She got an EP credit on the Jack Reacher sequel too, even after her and Cruise split. I'm going to assume its an EP credit in name only and she had nothing to actually do with anything. Similiar to how Laura Schuler Donner gets a credit in a bunch of X-Men movies she didn't have anything to do with.

Weird to see this name mentioned twice in a matter of minutes in this forum when I haven't heard it in years.

Funny, I totally missed the sequel. I've only seen the first one.

I'm not really motivated to check the second Cruise film out.

I thought it was really bad, which is disappointing to say about a Cruise movie. Especially when the first was really good (outside of the odd casting of Cruise to begin with). It was super generic… like a CBS procedural with Cruise in it.

Never look back! So bad.

Finished last night, so good. Final fights felt like 80s/90s action movie.

I actually liked the second one better and I know that I am in the minority on that.

This was really good and I am glad I gave it a chance after almost dismissing it. I am in for the second plus seasons!!

Re: Reacher (Amazon) - based on the Lee Child novels - S: Alan Ritchson - premieres 2/4/22

I enjoyed the series for what it was. There was something in the final episode that's bugging me because I think its a bad plot hole
Spoiler:
Since Picard was at the warehouse, the bad guys would've known Reacher was on the way. They would have killed the hostages and been more prepared for him.

Am I wrong?

Interesting thought.
Spoiler:
I might need to go back and rewatch the last episode, but I thought it was weird that Picard came out of nowhere during the final fight. I don’t remember seeing him at all since he was “shot” by Reacher.

Reacher should have known Picard would be wearing a vest and capped him again.

It was Illogical, a few things were with the finale. I let em slide because it was fun but yeah I had the same thought.

He wasn't wearing a vest. He had a bullet hole in his shoulder. Finlay pushed his thumb through it during their fight. I just assume he showed up around the time shit went down because he was on foot.

I agree, Def - but
Spoiler:
it still seems sloppy for Reacher not to ensure Picard was dead before he left for the warehouse.
