I enjoyed the first season, but I think it got a little to deep for its own good.
This season, however, was great. Helped make Season 1 make a tad more sense and I just found the overall story more engaging.
Caplan was great, and I enjoyed Robbins having fun with the role. Lots of great references to Kings work, while being its own thing.
Really loved how it wrapped up.

Ending scene was very strong, and worthy of the source material.
Most of the rest of the season was pretty weak, IMO. Didn't at all care for the enormous zombie plot that carried the bulk of episodes 5-10, Also felt they could have told the story in 6 or 8 episodes. Lots of dragging and repetition made it feel kind of endless to me. And I thought the whole refugee plot which seemed so important in the first three episodes kind of got forgotten once the zombie nature took over. And I didn't think Ace was a compelling bad guy at all
Kind of a shame because I thought Lizzy Caplan was great, especially when she fully got to channel Kathy Bates at her most crazy. Wish there was more of that. I was really on board for this season and wish I ended up liking it more than I did.
Never checked the critical reception for this show, but I bet it wasn't great.
