If Beth went to school with the store owner wouldn't she already know what her hair color was? The cops backing off due to Beth's last name is believable. Her breaking cases not so much.

Jewelry scene was fantastic and loved every minute of it. Who cares if it was over the top?? Ummm have you watched the show??? The meth part was far worse and even more dumb AND lasted far too long.... (Rather Unknown cowboy) hey let me come along to
Spoiler:
commit murder even though I have't done shit all year!!!
No one cares about that??? Give me a break.

Luke Grimes, perhaps? For one of the lead actors, I think he's the weakest of the bunch (which is not to say he's a bad actor, just that everyone around him is so good).

Did we ever figure out WTF Steven Williams was brought on this series for? Unless he had something to do with that kidnapping, seems like a total waste of a decent actor. It's almost as if they signed him and then couldn't figure out how to use him.

Quite a finale. I had a quibble with the way Kacy's wife went to full-on "kill them all" mode, just like Mrs. Jack Ryan in Patriot Games (there's a 25 year old reference for you older guys), but you don't mess with a mom's kid.

Emotional stuff with Rip, Costner, etc. Lots of crying tough guys.

Great season.

Seeing Dabney Coleman in the first scene was shocking, as someone who remembers him from The '80s. He was frail in "Boardwalk Empire", but here....
Age is cruel....

Question - I'm going to spoil this since some people may be catching up:

Spoiler:
Did John Dutton give Rip just the ranch house or did he mean to leave the entire ranch to him when he dies? I've seen most people say it was just the house, but I read it as he was letting him move into the house now, but he was deeding the whole property to him in his will. Yes, no, maybe?

Spoiler:
It looked to me like the "original" house, his father's. He was giving it to Rip. Kayce already moved into the "new" main house and John is living in the ranch foreman house that Kayce was in and Rip previously. The one Beth and Rip walked to was set further away than the others we constantly see (e.g. bunkhouse, foreman house, etc.). A lot of the inside stuff was covered and it didn't look in as good of shape but there was a ton of sentimentality to it. That was my take anyway.

...and it would further tie it into the opening with Dutton's father...

I was greatly disappointed that
Spoiler:
Rip didn't propose.

When he was leaning against the tree seemed to be the perfect moment

Eww, gross! Were you not paying attention? She's now his sister since he's considered a son.

Spoiler:
So he becomes a son-in-law. Just as good and maybe better. That way there'd be less hard feelings after John passes

That is what I was expecting. I'm guessing Rip's arc will partially revolve around that next season.

Given how season two played out, they are burning through a significant amount of pivotal character moments you really can't walk back, like they did after season one's finale. If I didn't know better, I'd say they are aiming for season three to be Yellowstone's last.

It will be interesting to see how the events of season two boomerang back on the Duttons.

I'm thinking we may get more Jimmy stories. His role increased from S1 to S2. The other cowboys have remained in the background to where we don't know their names.

Knocked out the entire second season today. It's a fantastic show. Too bad we'll have to wait almost a year before season 3.

Season two just received a Blu-ray release like season one. Loaded with special features, a rarity for tv on Blu-ray in 2019.

Did we get a season three thread? It started airing two weeks ago. Josh Holloway from Lost is the big, new addition.

That’s not correct at all. He did have colon cancer and surgery to remove eight or so inches of his colon. The ulcer was an entirely different illness.

Re: Yellowstone (Paramount) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 6/19/19

Just finished this season.
Was great but I feel like I missed something with those two brothers.
I didn’t get the poi)t with them two and then they were dispatched relatively quickly.

Seemed odd they used a meth farm or lab house to hide the kid.

And what did the Dutton’s put into their plane? Looked like a bomb but nothing ever came from that scene that I remember.
