Agree. Only issue there is now any episodes which don't focus on him will seem weak. The other characters pale in comparison.

Edi Patterson holds her own. Her dressing room scene with her fiancé was the highlight of the latest episode for me.

Not sure I was happy the brought the ear-worm back so soon. That's below the belt.

With how the show has gone, I think it would be better without McBride and his whole family. Although, the the kid who played him in the flashback episode was damn good.

Edi Patterson is currently my favorite comedic actress. She holds her own with guys like McBride and Goggins who are comedic forces of nature. That is really saying something.

I had to go look at her credits to see why I didn't know anything about her before Vice Principals and other than a few cameos she has only been in things I have no interest in. But I will definitely at least check out whatever she is doing going forward.

The scene with the wives watching the video was hilarious.

Uncle Baby Billy crashing into Scotty as he was getting away was too predictable.

I didn't really see the point of the Keefe character. Seemed like he was just around for a quick cheap joke or two and that's it.

So I'm 3 episodes in and this is great stuff; better than Vice Principals and I loved that show. Goggins is fantastic; he's like gambling... he makes everything better.

Oh, and LOTS of penises... which is getting weird.

Her monologue was surreal. Apparently she's a child kidnapper as well. She said she was arrested for it (not prosecuted?). It shows you the privilege the Gemstones have.

Even the final sermon by daddy Gemstone shows they haven't changed- "you need to forgive your enemies", not willing to admit they did anything wrong.
