It would make perfect closure, but this series is famous for surprising folks. Oops, sorry I misread the thread title and thought it said Who will get off Cersei? |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
Either Jaime off's Cersei or she offs him when they confront one another alone.
|
Re: Who will off Cersei?
My mind went here for some reason:
"Who gets Cersei?" "I don't understand." "Who kills Queen Cersei? At the end, somebody's got to do it! Is it Jamie? Who?" "Nobody. Nobody kills her. She lives." "You mean she wins? Jesus, grandpa, why did you read me this thing for?" "You know, you've been very sick, and you're taking this story very seriously. I think we'd better stop now." "No, I'm OK. I'm OK. Sit down. I'm all right." |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
Jamie is killed by Cersei directly or indirectly. I think Olenna had that one right. I doubt it is Arya since she took out the Night King. Tyrion is an option but kind of predictable. Dany seems unlikely.
Sansa. That would be good TV right there. I predict Sansa. Has she ever killed anyone? |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
Nobody. She's going to win.
|
Re: Who will off Cersei?
The valonqar, obviously. |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
The Mountain.

The valonqar, obviously. I had to look up who the "valonqar" was. Here is the relevant info: During her teenage years, believing that her betrothal to Rhaegar would soon be announced, Cersei brought her companions Melara Hetherspoon and Jeyne Farman to a witch named Maggy the Frog. Jeyne was instantly frightened and left the tent. Cersei and Melara stayed and tried to get the witch to tell them a prophecy. In the face of Cersei's threats, Maggy agreed to answer three questions. In response to those questions, Maggy told Cersei she would marry the king and not the prince, that she would be overthrown by a younger and more beautiful queen, that Cersei's children would die during Cersei's lifetime, and that the valonqar (High Valyrian for "little brother") would come to end her life.

Re: Who will off Cersei?
So the valonqar, after the whole Red Witch in the last episode, Tyrion will kill her.

Re: Who will off Cersei?
Then there's the whole Arya will kill someone with brown eyes (son-pie eating dude), blue eyes (Night King), and green eyes (Cersei).
So I guess a toss-up  |

Re: Who will off Cersei?
Jamie will, and he'll push her off the top of the castle or something. It will mirror what he did to Bran in Episode 1.
|
Re: Who will off Cersei?
Since Sansa didn't use the pointy end in the last battle, I predict she will... but Jamie would be more ironic.
|
Re: Who will off Cersei?
First, who will be Cersei's last victim? If you think we hate her now, just wait. She's going to do something that will have everybody watching scream "YOU MOTHERFUCKING BITCH!" at their tvs.
When the heroes get to King's Landing, Jamie will be in Cersei's confidence and standing with her at the throne, even though he's really on the other side. Jon, Dany and Tyrion will be captured and brought before Cersei as prisoners. Cersei will have The Mountain chop off one of their heads. Jamie freaks, pulls his sword and runs it through Cersei. The Mountain then kills Jamie. Then somebody kills The Mountain. |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
Option 13: She'll live through the story and just be banished from Landing. Too much of a fan favorite to get killed, since this is now HBO's GoT and not GRRM's.
|
Re: Who will off Cersei?
I'll go with Dragons as it would be pretty cool to give her that kind of send off. I will go out on a limb and say she will kill Jon Snow when he does something stupid and trusts her and then Dany will go into a rage and have the dragons off her...

Re: Who will off Cersei?
It will be Bronn killing her with the crossbow after a bad relationship between the two.

"Your sister has done things I wasn't capable of imagining. That was my prize mistake, a failure of imagination. She's a monster, you do know that? You love her, you really do love her. She'll be the end of you." |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
I've felt for a while that it will be a scene that neither Jaime nor Cersei survive. It will either be the closing moments of episode five or the towards the front of episode 6.

Re: Who will off Cersei?
I'm hoping when it's all done that we see Samwell Tarly sitting on the Iron Throne. Most of the Houses are already gone or nearly so. After the Battle of King's Landing that should end a few more. Him killing Cersei and taking the crown would be poetic.

Re: Who will off Cersei?
The prophecy says that the little brother will kill her. Which makes Tyrion the obvious first choice. But, even though her and Jamie are twins, he was birthed right after her, so he’s also the little brother. |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
it will be filmed by Fabian Wagner and only those with professionally calibrated tvs will ever know who did it

Re: Who will off Cersei?
The Maggy the Frog scene in Game of Thrones (tv) didn’t include the part about the valonqr, so it looks like they’re trying to hide that part of the story, or they’re going in a different direction. Cersei always assumed that the valonqr was Tyrion, and fueled her dislike and distrust of him. It is still ambiguous, though, as it isn’t necessarily her own brother, and could also be someone like the Hound (little brother to the Mountain) or Jon (who was both a brother of the Night’s Watch and Rhaegar’s youngest child). ”Valonqr” might also be a gender neutral term like “The Prince That Was Promised,” which is translated from Valyrian, though the Valyrian word “prince” is derived from is gender neutral, and, considering recent events, seems to have been referring to Arya Stark. |
Re: Who will off Cersei?
I think the heir will be baby Baratheon with Arya being the queen overwatcher until he's of age since his daddy will be dead within the next three weeks.

Re: Who will off Cersei?
Valonqar is the High Valyrian word for "little brother" but does it have to mean Cersei's little brother?
Interpreted as just someone's little brother, the Hound is the Mountain's little brother so maybe it could be him. |

My vote is Arya wearing a Jaime mask. Here’s my idea... The Hound infiltrates King’s Landing to kill Cersei. But The Mountain captures him and takes him to Cersei, who begins to torture him with a lightning rod device made by Qyburn. The Mountain watches. As The Hound feels himself begin to burn from the electricity, the pleads “Brother, please!” The Mountain looks back and forth between the two, remembering the fire trauma and fear of flames he created in his brother so long ago. The Mountain picks up Cersei, taking the lightning upon himself, and throws Cersei from the same window that Tommen committed suicide from. The Mountain falls to the floor, near death, and The Hound rushes to his side. “Help me remove this helmet, little brother, so I can see you without these damn slits.” The Hound says “We have to get out of here before the street urchins storm the place. Let me save you!” ”You already have, brother. You already have.” The Mountain dies. End credits. |

Intriguing idea, but Arya has already gotten her big kill now. Plus she already did the mask thing to kill House Frey. I’d be disappointed if Arya plays any part in Cersei’s death. Here’s my idea...
