Finally some action. Look liked their be some death on one of the characters. I say it be Theon saving Bran.

Guess it depends who you mean by "major". If it's referring to any character that a casual GoT fan would know by name, then that would be a lowball estimate. I will guess six... No, make it seven.

no way Jaime or Tyrion die tonight... they wouldn't miss the opportunity for them to meet up with Cersei one last time.
no way Jon Snow or Dani die. You don't stir that pot then dump it the very next episode.
and I think Arya has a better chance than Sansa to survive the battle but ultimately I think they both live... for now.
the rest are all in play to bite it, IMO.

OK, as a fan of the characters I was selfishly relatively happy but they did puss out (thus far) on the fates of major characters and therefore I was a bit disappointed in that regard. It was a bit of late season The Walking Deaditis.
I just don't get the game plan with the dragons. why wait to light up the dead with the dragons once they advanced and mixed in with the living? the should have just been flying back and forth strafing the shit out of them.
Still, my heart was racing the entire time. Loved the first 10 minutes of relative silence, and the overall economy of dialogue worked well for this episode.

With Endgame and This... My body is now ready for some rest. LOL
I can't wait to watch this episode again tomorrow. Holy shit did it have some moments and towards the end I called it with Arya.

I think the Iron bank is going to double cross Cersei now that she paid the Lannisters debt in full. I don't see any other way Dany gets an army big enough to fight at King's Landing. Most of them were wiped out in this episode.

I honestly was expecting a far darker outcome, with the army of the dead winning and only a small group escaping to make their way south. That would’ve felt more true to the story than them winning and nearly every main character surviving. I’d started to view the driving message of the show as being that all of the game of thrones, power-chasing bullshit would be the end, or nearly the end, of mankind. Guess that’s not where they’re going. There was some satisfaction to individual moments this episode, but overall I’d rank it last of the three from this season and a significant step down from the first two.
Also, we subscribed to HBO now just so we could have this be the first season we watch in real time. That’s been extremely disappointing. The quality of their stream is crap compared to what we get from netflix and amazon prime. The dark scenes are so bad it’s almost impossible to tell what we’re seeing at times, outside of the immediate foreground. That was especially bad for tonight’s episode. Definitely will be dropping the subscription once GoT wraps and the Deadwood movie airs.
