The reactions to the Arya scene online have been interesting.

"It's disturbing because we watched her grow up."

You watched her grow up into a murderous assassin. Her wanting to have sex with with a hot blacksmith is the most normal she's been in years.

Shit! Only 4 episodes to wrap this whole thing up.

Frankly, at this point i don’t want to see anyone else die. Well, I wouldn’t be devastated if Theon eats it. He’s redeemed himself but not so much that I’ll feel bad if/when he goes.

Based on Danys look at Jon after what he revealed, I’m guessing they’re going to off each other.

I looked at my wife and said “it’s now in her best interests to let Jon die. So she can have the throne again.”

But they can’t kill Jon again, can they? Or maybe he dies and comes back again and kills her. Or maybe he’s already dead.

Right, what’s wrong with people? Let the girl have some fun for crying out loud.

This was certainly a calm before the really bad storm episode - with Endgame and GoT next weekend I may have to take the following Monday off!😢
I was also a bit unsettled by the Arya scene - at first I was like "Yeah!" and then, "Should I be watching this? Is she or the actress old enough?" A quick trip to the internet assured me that I could use the rewind and pause button with impunity.

My guess is that Jon will let Dany keep the throne and swear the others to secrecy. I don’t think he wants to be king.

This is how I feel.

I think that she’ll release the North from her rule though.

I wonder if receiving something valuable gives you immunity from death in the next episode:

- Arya got a spear
- Brienne got knighted
- Jorah got Heartsbane

Tormund is the best.

Oh... also I was a bit creeped out with the Arya sex scene.
I said to my wife, "Please don't have Arya get naked." It really felt dirty, even though she's 22.

Definitely a lot of humour in this episode, so it's going to get ugly, next week.

hmmm 2 out of 6 fluffy build up episodes.

Had some decent moments but still

Did not need to see Arya getting nekkid and jiggy

Tormund on why he was called Giantsbane.

Does the actress playing Gilly look liked she gained some weight? I thought she could be pregnant with her heavy coat on her.

The actress is 22, but the character is supposed to be what, 14ish? Sansa was 14 when she married Tyrion, which would have made Arya 12 at the time. I'm not sure how many years it has been since then.

This was the "Helms Deep" episode. Everyone talking, eating, drinking, and keeping themselves comfortable. The Uruk-hai arrive next week.

The last 4 episodes are also 80 minutes each.

I definitely thought so. And she's always been very thin, often excessively thin.

I also thought the little girl asking about going to war looked like she could've been her daughter, though I'm sure she's not. She reminded me of a younger version of Cassie in Skins.

Because he is "dead" AND a Targaryen, maybe he can talk Viserion into killing the Night King for him?

Arya's lady parts were all safely ensconced in the obvious prostehtic chest she was wearing. Didn't feel this episode. Felt too fan-fictiony to me. Not really looking forward to an 80 minute battle. Not really my thing.

80 minutes? The entire series been leading up to this battle. Hope the battle lasts at least 2 episodes or so.

The battle itself is supposed to be like a 50 minute sequence. Which is longer than the Helms Deep sequence in LOTR in comparison.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E02) -- ”A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” -- 4/21/19

I'm probably in the minority, but I thought that was the worst GOT episode of the 8 seasons. I understand what they are were trying to go for in that they wanted to delve into these people's lives with them knowing that they are going to die and this is how they would react. But I just don't think they needed a 60 minute episode of it, especially when you have a shortened season with only 4 episodes left now. I still feel it was a terrible decision (by whoever decided to go with the shorterned last 2 seasons) and the 2 year hiatus between 7 and 8. The show has really lost all momentum for me and I'm sort of going through the motions watching this show (the same thing happened to me the final few seasons of the Sopranos when they dragged them out 2 years between seasons.)

And whether it was a double or not, they didn't need to show Arya naked as I don't know what that was all about. There is too much nudity in the show to begin with (I don't want to sound like a prude, but lesser quality shows always have to use nudity to sell the show to the horny guys demo, but GOT is good enough where it never needed that). This would be no different than watching the Olsen Twins get naked in a final season of Full House when they finally turned 18.

At this point, I wouldn’t be surprised if the series has been moving in real time. Otherwise, it’s hard to account for things like Bran (unless he got some giant milk, too). If that’s the case, Arya would be like 19.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E02) -- ”A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” -- 4/21/19

Are we supposed to forget that Theon/Reek has been tortured and is missing many parts? How exactly is he gonna protect anyone? How many fingers got flayed and removed; I can't even remember.

This episode was pure fan service but it served well as a lead in to the battle. Also, I'm glad to see I was wrong last week regarding Arya.
