Jon Snow might not be Einstein, but he's not a moron.
Jon Snow has always been an honest idealist. He's not a backstabbing schemer like so many characters in the show. Keeping a secret like that is not in his nature. Yes it probably puts him in danger, but in my mind he is being true to his character.

The Arya sex scene was a little awkward, but most first times are. I thought it was pretty tastefully done. No issues with it from me.

This forum has changed for the better, it wasn't too long ago that the Modern Family threads were a bunch of middle-aged guys lusting after 13-year-old Ariel Winter.

I find it funny that people are calling this episode bad cause there is no action. I mean, have you guys been watching GoT since the beginning? This is one of the reason why most of us love this show, characters are built to be torn down. =)

I loved this episode and Im super looking forward for the next one.

I liked this episode. I mean you have to give these characters a few moments before the action starts to let them do or say that final thing. I mean, even if they win, it's not going to be a picnic. Jamie will be stuck doing disability commercials, Arya will certainly join a brothel, and the hound will start his own chicken restaurant. Let them have their heroic moments for now.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E02) -- ”A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms” -- 4/21/19

I still wonder why when the NK and army broke thru at Eastwatch rather than gathering the women and children at Winterfell they didn't send them South. Or North to Castle Black. They could have escaped beyond the wall since the dead are now south of the wall. This would put less stress on supplies needed by the army and less concern for their safety, as obviously the crypts aren't going to be safe if the dead win.

Here's a different theory as to the Night King's motive. He's not after Bran so much as he is Gilly's baby. Craster is dead so there will be no more incest babies that the NK can turn into a White Walker. The baby is the last.

Why does it have to be that specific baby? Why can't they do it with any other baby?

However, I do think Dany will overcome it and that they will rule together. I'm not sure how they are going to handle the incest thing.

Dany's mother and father are also technically her aunt and uncle. Targaryens were never much bothered by the incest.

What's so special about Craster's babies other than being inbred? Is the NK after Cersi's current possible incest baby? I think this theory is kinda small in scope compared to more plausible "living world ending" goals of the NK. But please help me understand if I'm off base...

I cant honestly see the incest baby as a driving force. This was set in motion long before Sam and Gilly left the area. - nor could i see them looking for Sam who killed one of them which could be the next logical leap of logic following that thread.

I agree he's an idealist. But there's a huge difference between backstabbing schemer and being smart enough to know that was a piss poor time to reveal that secret.

Or maybe that's just my profound dislike of Dany and her God complex. If I had to choose which main character (currently at Winterfell) would die next episode it would be her.

All the uptight "Ewwwww she could be my daughter!!" Arya sex talk has taken away from Brienne's awesome and well deserved Knight hood scene. Fuckers!!!

And I think Jon and Dany ruling together is highly unlikely. Did you not see her reaction to Sansa saying she woudn't give up the North (or something of the sort) and her reaction to Jon's secret? Nothing about love there... Her entire life is guided by one obsession: sit on the Iron Throne and rule ALL the seven kingdoms. Sansa and Jon are now obstacles.

I dunno. Is that any dumber when he refused to tell Cersei that he wouldn’t take sides until the war with the dead was over? He has a history of wanting to be honorable rather than clever.

That's his whole character. He's basically a mirror of Ned; always has been. Honorable to a fault.

This was my take, but after hearing you guys, I admit that #16 is probably right.

19 Thoughts That Sum Up How Dumb Jon Snow Was On "GoT" Last Night

But some of the other ones are damn funny.

Remind me again: How much input is George RR Martin having in the TV series concluding storyline? In other words, when and IF he ever finishes his final book(s), will it more or less mirror what we're seeing here, or will it/could it be completely different?

And if they're different, what will fans consider "canon"? The books, I'm guessing...right?

I don't know how much input he had on the post-books story but I do remember reading that the future books (I'll believe it when I see it) will follow the story given by HBO, just with more detail mixed in. But no major plot points would change.

The presence of "Young Griff" in the books would basically make that impossible.
