Hilarious line! I think Jaime will be fine, at least in the short term. Bran will probably see his fall as the catalyst to what he is now and that it was meant to be. Dany will grill Jaime hard next episode for the Kingslayer stuff, but Tyrion and Brienne will vouch for him.

And I don't think Bronn will carry out that task. He's always been pragmatic (i.e. I want to live) about the endeavors he chose to accept. He probably just took the money so that Cercei doesn't kill him if he refuses.
It's The Last Hearth, the castle of House Umber. It is shown in the new opening credits (which are amazing!) and is the castle closest to the breach in The Wall. Edd and his fellow Night's Watchmen are trying to get to Winterfell and stopped off at the castle to investigate.

That may very well be. I noticed she seemed rather high up on herself when she scared the locals with her dragons as they were giving her dirty looks on approach to Winterfell.

Yes it has some warm and fuzzy reunions / antireunions but overall considering only 6 episodes this season, a bit of nothing really

Did you watch the same show as the rest of us?

Jon finding out he's Aegon Targaryen and the rightful heir to the Iron Throne... minor plot point.
Samwell finding out about his father and brother (Dickon... *snicker*), being executed.
Bronn being sent to kill Jaime and Tyrion.
The disturbing scene at the castle.
Yara is rescued.
Cersei sleeps with ultimate scumbag, Euron.
Gendry crafting dragonglass weapons.

And I'm sure I've missed something.

Pretty much nothing happened...

So if John can ride the dragons, does that mean that he also wouldn't be harmed by fire, like Dany?

No mention of the new open? I didn't like like it. I'll have to go back and see what story the sun thing is telling. Also didn't like going through Winterfell and Kings Landing.

That Targ quality is not universal, Jon burned his hand in season 1 when he grabbed the lantern and threw it at the white walker that was attacking Mormont.

Later Bran: Let me sit here outside overnight to stare awkwardly when Jaime comes the next day instead of seeing where he is currently at and going outside when he arrives.

I also think Bran sees something about Daenerys and wanted a split between Jon and her so he got Sam to deliver the news to Jon right when Sam was angriest at Daenerys.

I don't think Bronn will be able to bring himself to kill Tyrion.

My comment wasn't due to his lineage; it was due to the dragons accepting him and letting him ride. We were led to believe Dany was unique as the "Mother of Dragons" because they followed her. Is Jon the "Father of Dragons"?

Targaryens have a history with dragons and can ride them. Although on the show, it is not as clear as in season 7, Daenerys rescues all those people when they were trapped on the ice and they all rode away on the dragon.

I am wondering if the Night King was a bastard Targaryen. The symbol that he or his white walkers have been leaving looks like an inverted Targaryen sigil.

Great episode but I could have lived without the scene paying homage to the never ending story LOL

GoT series finale:

the armies of men are losing the battle against the white walkers and are on the brink of collapse.

Bran's powers evolve one step further out of pure will and desperation. He is the first Jedi.

BAM. Star Wars old republic prequel trilogy beings, fuckers.

Re: Game of Thrones (S8E01) -- Season Premiere -- "Winterfell" -- 4/14/19

Is it just me, or has the dialog writing gone to shit?
The show used to have some very clever dialog, and now so much of it is so cringe-inducing...

- "She is the smartest person i have met"
- "I am going to put a prince in your belly"
- "Then keep your queen warm"
- "Did you bend the knee because you love her?"

Fucking yikes!
