The Widow (Amazon) -- S: Kate Beckinsale -- Premieres 3/1/19

The Widow follows Georgia Wells (Kate Beckinsale) who has cut herself off from her previous life and is no longer the woman she once was after the death of her husband in a plane crash. After seeing her "late" husband on the news, she is pulled back to face the world and will stop at nothing until she gets the truth about her past. This emotionally gut-wrenching thriller will take Georgia into the depths of the African Congo where danger and revelation will greet her at every turn.

8 episode series. Premieres this Friday on Amazon.

That was a good trailer. I'm interested. I really enjoyed Amazon's most recent series White Dragon.

That looks really good. I mean I am a sucker for Kate in anything but that looks really good. If its half as good as Jack Ryan I will be a happy camper! Amazon seems to do really well with the action shows like this.

Same here.
How the hell she has managed to keep her skin looking so good (for a smoker) is just amazing.
Talk about great genetics....

IMO, the best of these is Bosch.
Every year I'm chomping at the bit for the new season to drop.

Even The Disappointments Room? This has to be better than that.

Might be pretty good,
Spoiler:
but hoping it doesn't turn into a political statement at every chance it gets. Not faulting KB too much, but somebody might have told her it would be a great idea to fuse a murder and at the same time, conduct "informative" commentary from time to time.

Re: The Widow (Amazon) -- S: Kate Beckinsale -- Premieres 3/1/19

caught the first two episodes last night as they appear to have been released a little early, was planning to show my wife the trailer on Amazon and all eight episodes were already there. Good pacing and decent plot lines with good production quality. Pretty good cast overall considering I didn't know too much about that before watching with folks from Sherlock, GOT and Dr. Who/Er.

Got very interesting at the end of the second episode. I think the flashback scenes felt a little bit hokey especially considering its only 3 years since her husband disappeared. It seems she is doing this with minimal makeup and lots of sweat as well as frumpy clothes, quite a departure from what I am used to seeing her look like in say Underworld but she looks great! I'm definitely in for the 8 episodes.

finished the show, overall it was OK but it was hardly must see tv. I would say the way it wrapped up there is almost no chance for a second season and honestly even though it was only 8 episodes the last one felt like filler. I would give the show a C and say it was average. If it wasn't for Kate I honestly don't know if I would have stuck around for the full run and this could have easily run on NBC/ABC etc and is very PG with minimal swears etc.
