I liked it even though the first 95% of the season was literally the first season in a different time period lol. I hope we get a third season.

It was disjointed and the core story it set up just seemed so unimaginative. Just cliche on cliche on cliche. It was hard to follow as well to be honest. Plus why the save Kennedy thing again? It's been done so many times. Plus why the obsession with saving Kennedy? Why do people assume the world would be better? And if Kennedy is saved and there is nuclear war well then it is obviously a causal effect. It actually would have been far more interesting if the setup was that the illuminati wanted to SAVE Kennedy and the UA needed to insure he died. Sort of like the famous Star Trek episode. The episode just seemed trite and cliched and predictablle. It did get better but the first episode was a slog.

I think the Kennedy assassination is a good story simply because it’s a very singular event in history that changed the world. I know, anecdotally, a lot of people who were old enough to remember the Kennedy Assassination describe it as the day America lost its innocence. Whether or not that’s actually true doesn’t really matter. A lot of people see it that way. I agree that going back in time to stop the Kennedy assassination has been done a lot but I liked the twist in this show about Vanya being the cause of the change of events. It also looked like Reginald’s original plan WAS to save Kennedy. He said something at the end that the plan was that Kennedy wasn’t to be harmed.

Overall, I enjoyed the heck out of season 2. It definitely expanded on the universe the series set up and I’m glad to see the siblings finally realizing they need to work together. And yeah, Five is the heart of the show and kills it every time he’s on screen!

When
Spoiler:
Ben ended up dying for good

I was a sad because I liked his character. I was glad to see him pop back up for the cliffhanger. Hopefully Netflix renews this for season 3. It’s just an all around fun show that isn’t as mean spirited as The Boys.

Season two was always going to have problems because they poached so much of the second series source material and inserted it into season one. I do hope we get a season three.

It is Netflix, and a big-budget sci-fi series, so a third season is really up in the air.

I don't know if it's been the breakout hit that Stranger Things was. I could easily see this going the way that Sense8, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Altered Carbon went.

Unfortunately, I agree with you about the chances for a season 3.

I don’t know, after I got my wife into it we started running across all kinds of people that are fans. People that we wouldn’t expect to watch this kind of show, like my wife’s office manager and even my mother-in-law. I know I’m talking about a small sample size here but it gives me hope that the show is getting a lot more views than this thread is giving it credit for.

It does seem to have a surprising broad appeal to it. It's one of the few shows that every member of my family was interested in watching. With that said, yes, I agree that the odds for a 3rd season are narrow as the special effects budget must be pretty high.

Season 2 didn't feel like season 2. It feels like something that happened between season 1 and 2.

Also, all the gay relationships completely grind episodes to a halt - their pointless and I usually take my bathroom breaks when they come on because of how long they last.

Now that I know it has been renewed I will watch S2...for some reason I drifted away from catching up but now I am incentivized to watch S2.

I really enjoy this show a lot. Cannot wait for season 3. Pretty sure it will get wrapped up that season, and dont expect a season 4.

Just binged the first 2 seasons. Enjoyed it and looking forward to the 3rd season.

One question I had about the season 2 finale - did they show Diego's "stop bullets" power previously?

Finally binged the 2 seasons and was hooked. Great cast overall - although Klaus and 5 steal the show.

Once I watched, I went and read the first 2 volumes of the comic. And wow - is the show like, INFINITELY better. I know the comic is a shorter series, so not able to flesh a whole lot out, but it is crazy haphazard. And the plot/character expansion and changes/decisions they made in the show were ALL for the better.

I know they showed it in the first episode of season 2 (in the possible battle), but don't recall it in season 1...

I am not a fan of such shows but I think I should try to watch it at some point. Who knows maybe I will become a fan

I've gotta rewatch the end of S2, but why wouldn't it just be the same character?

Reading a bit more about it - the character transitions as well. So, isn't this kind of a setback? Did they determine the actor could no longer convincingly play a female character?

A new name doesn’t mean it’s not the same character.
