Barreled through 5 episodes of the first season today. Shit is awesome. Gonna probably knock out the rest tonight or tomorrow. Also saw that Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Kevin Bacon, and James Mangold are all producers to some extent on the show in addition to tons of The Wire alumni in front and behind the camera.
I think there were like 20+ actors who were on both Oz and The Wire. Same casting director.

I thought season 1 was good, not great, but I'm really enjoying season 2 so far.

No word yet if this is coming back or not, but last night felt like a series finale.
Cathy Ryan really served no point after she killed Jimmy, so not surprised to see her pack up and leave.
I guess Jackie really has changed since before he would have raced home to throw Maeve getting killed while using the money Jenny gave her to buy guns in Jenny's face.
Funny having Peter Gerety as the judge for Kelvin's murder trial since he was Judge Phelan on The Wire

Frankie died off-screen between seasons, Cathy dealing drugs, killing Jimmy and leaving Boston really served no purpose. I would've at least been a little more satisfied if someone killed Cathy.

Saw season 1 last Fall, catching up on season 2. I'm enjoying the show, but the opening credits and recaps make it look like a bargain bin video game rather than something on Showtime.

Finished it off today. I thought it was an awesome season and agree that it felt like a finale. I won't hold my breath for a third season but will be happy if it does come back.

Looking forward to this. I think this is the last Showtime show remaining that I still watch after most of their biggest shows have ended in the last few years. May check out Man Who Fell To Earth and should probably try Yellowjackets at some point.

I really like the show. It's not The Wire of that magnitude, but it's well acted and thrilling.

I'm pumped. Definitely feels like nobody watches, but glad to see a premiere date, and excitement on this thread.

Nice start to the season. Not having the Ryans around anymore helps.

FYI, just noticed there’s no new episode this week. Almost certainly to avoid House of the Dragon.

Binged it last night. Another great season and here's hoping that it gets a renewal, considering how it ends.

Great season, but they glossed over DeCourcy finding out about Siobhan's past with the accident. He referred to it once, but that was a big revelation that we should have seen his reaction for.

Canceled: https://tvline.com/2022/10/27/city-o...on-4-showtime/
I still need to watch season 3. I get the feeling it wasn't intended as a series ender though from the little I've read.

Well S3 didn't end on a cliff-hanger, but there are a couple storylines that weren't completed and let it be known that we were going to see a continuation from.
I'm actually surprised it wasn't cancelled after S2. It seemed like no one was watching this show. You barely heard anyone talking about it on the internet.
I thought it was just OK. It was obvious they didn't really have the series planned out beyond the first season.
