MONDAY, FEBRUARY 4 ARROW "Emerald Archer" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV) ARROW FILMS THEIR 150TH EPISODE AS A DOCUMENTARY ENTITLED "THE HOOD AND THE RISE OF VIGILANTES" NARRATED BY KELSEY GRAMMER - The 150th episode of "Arrow" showcases a documentary entitled "The Hood and the rise of vigilantism" starring Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), and the rest of Team Arrow. As a camera crew follows Oliver and team around to talk about their past as vigilantes and what the Green Arrow means to Star City, Oliver must also deal with William's (guest star Jack Moore) return from boarding school as well as a new threat to the city. The episode will feature "documentary footage" captured by the BTS crew and interviews from those who have worked alongside the Green Arrow. The documentary is narrated by Kelsey Grammer. Glen Winter directed the episode written by Marc Guggenheim & Emilio Ortega Aldrich (#712). Original airdate 2/4/2019. In case you missed it, this was renewed for an 8th season last week. |

I thought this episode was great. I wish they went full tilt on the idea like they did on B5 when the entire episode was from the point of view of the reporters or the janitors. I think this is only episode this season I watched twice back to back because I like so much

There’s no way Argus would have allowed that spy satellite stuff to be filmed. Everything else was fine. |

They also wouldn't let them interview a member of the suicide squad. Those guys are suppose to be off the books so they can kill them if they get out of line.

Episodes like this proves a tv series' time has come and gone. What's next - is Oliver going to adopt a black kid?

The documentary segments were a little weird, but I kind of liked the cameos.
Other than that, it was better than last week IMO. Some good action and I guess we can finally put to rest whether or not Team Arrow can actually do their jobs without looking over their backs. It was good to see Diggle back in the field not working for Argus. I am curious about the flash forward scenes and how they connect with the present, especially Katherine McNamara's part. |

Needed more Kelsey Grammar voice-over ... needed less Mr. T being an idiot (spy satellites and such). Nice to see the couple cameos (Rag Man) and callouts (Huntress).

Since when does everyone know Rory is Ragman? I was thinking Ragman would have been a great addition to Legends.
A lot of little continuity errors in here but otherwise pretty good. Nice seeing Connor at the end. Anyone know who the girl was? |

The problems showing Ragman in action more or less ended his tenure on the show. They never got a grip on demonstrating his powers.
Like Firestorm he would have made a good addition to Legends where they didn't have to use his powers all that much. He would have fit in well with the supernatural based current season. |
