"Seeing Red" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, LV) (HDTV)

CICADA SEVERLY INJURES NORA - During a battle with Cicada (Chris Klein), Nora (Jessica Parker Kennedy) is severely injured. Due to Cicada's dampening powers, Nora's speed healing isn't working, leaving Barry (Grant Gustin) and Iris (Candice Patton) scared for their daughter's future. Upset about his injured child, The Flash is filled with rage and confronts Cicada in a brutal battle. Meanwhile, Killer Frost (Danielle Panabaker) keeps interfering with Caitlin's work on the cure. Marcus Stokes directed the episode written by Judalina Neira & Thomas Pound (#511). Original airdate 1/21/2019.

So Barry has Cicada beaten but then walks away b/c his adult daughter that he knew would recover has recovered. Good plan.

Yeah that was dumb af. Should have put the cuffs on him and rushed him to the cage. Flash is fast enough to have done all that in a blink of an eye and been back to see his daughter. Instead he lets him get away so we get 11 more episodes/weeks of Cicada getting away because of "Team Flash" constantly being dumb.

That was a definite eye-roll. The whole concept of Nora as a character gets more ridiculous the longer it goes on. I hope they surprise us and deal with the whole "Flashpoint" of it all by the end of the season.

Why don't they go get Oliver Queen to kick this guy's ass? He's not a metahuman, so Cicada's dagger thingie wouldn't impede his ass-kicking abilities, and he could dispatch this idiot in about 30 seconds. Or just have a police sniper shoot this cocksucker. It's not like he's bulletproof.

All this brutal killing of meta folks in this and the last season. Flash has become too dark and depressing anymore.

But Cicada is showing some above normal human level abilities. So Ollie may not have an easy time with him.

I was also wondering why when Cicada was down why didn't he just rush him to one of their cells? Barry is stupid.

*sigh* oh, he got away again.............why is it going to be different next time? Not a fan of making characters stupid so the bad guy can get away again.

It's also been speculated that since the "Meta" cure Caitlyn's working on utilizes Cicada's dagger, it will only affect "Dark Matter" meta-humans, which means it would have no effect on Killer Frost (and they"both" should know that).

I'm feeling like dropping this. I thought it started out strong but I'm not a fan of adding Nora, and after missing the last couple of episodes I realized that I did not really miss this(or Arrow) much. I already dropped Supergirl when she became social justice warrior girl, I dropped Black Lightening mainly due to time and I feel like it's time for Arrow and Flash to go that route.

The season for me has been fairly enjoyable so far but Chris Klein's ridiculously hammy acting is starting to wear thin. I haven't seen this much over-acting on television in decades.

I love the "Joe is in Tibet" lines they're now throwing into every episode. Hope he's doing better!
