Making "space aliens" a metaphor for "illegal aliens" continues to be just plain dopey. And, of course, the minute the show introduce the new President and show him wearing an American Flag lapel pin (and he's not a woman) tells me he'll be portrayed as some sort of villain.

Supergirl is willing to subvert the US Constitution to keep an alien as President. I mentioned this last season. Isn't this the exact opposite of the DEO's mandate? If it ever got out that she and the DEO knew the President was an alien they'd be done. They can't even keep their allegory straight.

Worst writing on TV.

Still enjoying Rhona Mitra more than anything Reign related. Still figure they will reveal that Lena figured out Kara is Supergirl a long time ago.

I like Rhona as Mercy Graves. I agree she's been an interesting new villain so far. The DEO agent who turned wasn't a surprise. He seemed like a ticking time bomb.

and regarding the whole President thing/Constitution, I look at it this way, this is fantasy and an alternate world. So I hold this show no accountability to being realistic with that.

I know Lynda Carter is 67 now, but if you've seen her early work on the 70's Wonder Woman compared to now, her speech sounds very off. It almost sounds like she recovered from a stroke or something. I may have mentioned this before.

Now if she was an alien born on US soil ... That would be an interesting twist.

The writers are too stupid to figure out their own hypocrisy. They're trying to make a point about how Trump is subverting the Constitution by saying it's OK to do it themselves as long as it's in the name of equal rights.

Worst writing on TV.

I was trying to stick with the show but I just can't do it.

I noticed that too. And it's been mentioned before. I'm wondering if they are making her redo her lines in post. She is also a recovering alcoholic and I had wondered if that was also a factor in her how she speaks etc..

She could also have dentures in which causes speech issues?
