I forgot to post Blindspot's 4th season thread last week.
Truthfully, I was still finishing up the 3rd season on Hulu and actually just finished it today.
Did not expect the turn by Zapata. Also, a little surprised by the twist that happened with Jane turning back into Remi. I assume that continued in the premiere. I will try to watch the premiere ASAP to get caught up with Friday night's 2nd episode.

Haha was wondering where the thread was last week. I liked the premiere. Awesome sword fight.
Still an entertaining show. Very consistent.

I still don’t completely buy Zapata’s turn. Wondering if it’s some sort of deep deep undercover assignment. And what kind of backstory will work to explain why she would be on a plane with Blake?

Yeah I don't think the Zapata thing is a full turn. She is working something undercover.

Holy shit - the January 11 episode was AWFUL!
Complete waste of my time. Probably worse than a clip show, since I felt compelled to watch the “new material”. At least with a clip show I know I can fast forward through it.
Garbage episode.

I like the show and actors but wouldn’t mind if it gets canceled. They’re just treading water now.

The question is whether Warner is willing to play hardball with NBC, for a possible season 5. For example, such as NBC asking for a significant % ownership stake.

With a season 4 show being owned by Warner and dumped to Friday evenings (since last season), it will probably have 89 or more episodes by the end of this season.

Is there an article which mentions this?
NBC's other Friday night show The Blacklist has a 50% ownership stake for NBC.

Actually it was picked up for the 4th season in a packaged deal with Manifest and also involved a significant license fee reduction. That's why it's staying on the air. I could have sworn I saw something that said NBC now has a small stake in it, but I may have confused it with The Blacklist.

Re: Blindspot (NBC) -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18
I put off watching this for many weeks. But, I fired this up on Hulu and have binged 7 episodes since yesterday. This season is pretty awesome so far IMO. I know 13 have aired and the show is currently on hiatus.
I love Blindspot, but it's so freaking hard trying to keep up with weekly 1 hour dramas.
I've been enjoying this Jane/Remi thing and really curious to see how things turn out with Zapata. I know a few of you don't buy that she's turned evil, but a few episodes ago she murdered that undercover MI-6 agent in cold blood. I guess it's feasible that she put herself in a deep cover operation that has risks and will force her to get her hands really dirty.
I see that a few have said that episode 9 is terrible. I guess I'll find out later to see if it's really that bad.

Best thing this show ever did was make Rich Dotcom a full time character. The addition of Boston now as a regular also helps. It is great tis season.

Ok, so I watched episode 9 from January 11th and it really wasn't that bad. Was it great? Definitely not.
I could see why a few of you didn't like it. It went a little over the top with the science fiction and unbelievable medical science that could not even remotely happen in real life. It was a 100% fantasy episode.
But, I look at it as it was the episode that finally closed the chapter of Jane's life with Shepherd and thank God.

If I wasn't home Friday evenings, most likely this would be another show piling up on the dvr for me.

Alright...so everything was answered in episode 10, especially the Zapata situation.
and Rich Dot Com has been awesome. Great chemistry with the team and I love his scenes with Patterson.

Finally caught up through the 13 episodes that have aired.
Looks like Zapata is in trouble. Interesting cliffhanger.
I'm glad the whole thing with Jane being sick, being Remi and her issues with her Mom and brother are finally behind us. But that was an interesting arc although some of it did get into the ridiculous with the science fiction elements.
and Rich Dot Com has been an awesome edition. he has great chemistry working with Patterson. Seems like they're leaving things open for Boston to come back as well.

I like Rich’s addition as well. Great character.
From what I can tell, the international scenes look to be on-location. That’s got to be expensive, and maybe why Kurt and Jane’s action scenes have been toned down during her medical phase. Just a guess...

NBC’s Blindspot will not air during May Sweeps, a scheduling move that does not bode well for the on-the-bubble drama series.
The Blacklist had been scheduled to take the 8 PM time slot tonight due to Blindspot‘s previously planned week off. The Blacklist will air a two-hour episode tonight beginning at 8 PM and will remain in the 8 PM time slot through its Season 6 finale on May 17. Dateline will expand to two hours from 9-11 PM beginning May 3.
Blindspot returns Friday, May 24 at 8 PM, and will close its season with back-to-back episodes on May 31, at 8 PM and 9 PM. May Sweeps runs from April 25 through May 22.
A renewal decision has not yet been made on Blindspot, now in its fourth season. The drama series starring Sullivan Stapleton and Jaimie Alexander received last-minute renewals the previous two seasons. NBC reportedly negotiated a license-fee reduction for Blindspot at its Season 3 renewal, making the series profitable for the network. While not a strong linear performer, Blindspot has been consistent and has an established fan base. It has struggled in ratings this season, averaging under a 0.5 demo rating and 2.8 million viewers.

Well, that's not good news. But, I've seen some shows air into June and still get picked up.
I read the season finale is filmed on location in Iceland, so they went all out and spent money on it. So anything is possible.
It does suck since this show moved to Fridays that no one is talking about it anymore. I think many dropped it assuming it was dead.

Re: Blindspot (NBC) -- Season 4 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18
While I still watch the show, I think they are struggling for several reasons:
1. The Sheperd storyline is so done, yet they keep poking it at. Now they are reminiscing about warehouse storage items!
2. Too many nuclear bomb, missiles, meltdown, etc storylines for this show. Stop recycling cliched terrorism plots. And even if they do, the writers don’t have the balls to set off the nuke. The general population is never in danger. They will always be saved.
3. The main FBI characters don’t die. There’s no suspense since I can’t recall anyone on the team dying in the four seasons.

I still watch. Love me some Patterson!
I hope it comes back. Wife gets confused by all the story lines, so she won't miss it.
