MONDAY, OCTOBER 15 SEASON PREMIERE ARROW "Inmate 4587" - (8:00-9:00 p.m. ET) (TV-14, V) (HDTV) LOCKED UP - Following Oliver's (Stephen Amell) shocking decision to turn himself over to the FBI and reveal his identity as the Green Arrow to the public, Oliver has spent the past five months in Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Determined to keep a low profile to shorten his sentence for the sake of his family, Oliver is tested when he runs into old foes. Meanwhile, Diggle (David Ramsey) and Dinah (Juliana Harkavy) have taken on new jobs and left their costumes behind but not everyone is following suit. With her focus on William (guest star Jack Moore), Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) tries to start over but when someone from her past resurfaces, things become complicated. Points for the last scene ... Otherwise another season of Diaz? Ugh ... Any ideas who the faux Green Arrow is? One of the Long Bow Hunters or Speedy?

Man, prison life is pretty brutal for Oliver. Funny seeing Felicity as a hipster barista. |

I’m gonna go ahead and throw this out there: the new GA is William from the future. We’ll get a season of flash forwards showing him training under Roy so he can go back in time and fix something that’s coming.

To shoot down my own theory, it just occurred to me that it’salmost identical to what’s going on on The Flash. Surely they’re not going to do the same thing on both shows.

Well that was....interesting. Honestly I found it kind of boring. The flash forward was the only interesting part to me. Pink haired Felcitiy was pretty hot though. The who is the new Arrow mystery is kind of cool though.

It's Connor Hawke. We already have alternate Earth Laurel so why not time travel Arrow? :lol: |

Like the idea of the new GA being the son from the future. Makes sense given the FF. But of course, so would it being Roy.
Didn't like Felicity with even more piercings. Were those, and the pink hair, supposed to make her harder to track down. :lol: Also not a fan of prison story lines given they often don't make sense. Was the audience to believe none of that drama went down until they day we caught up with the series (couldn't quickly count up all the chalk marks on the wall). :rolleyes: |

I like the different vibe for the new season, but Diaz seems more like an irritant than a big bad to me at this point. (Yes only 1 episode in.)

A fairly uninteresting premiere outside of the brief flash forward reveal at the end. You can tell the showrunner and some of the staff are different from before if you were closely paying attention.
I suggested flash forwards starting back in season 3 or 4. |
