I did not realize she was diagnosed with brain and lung cancer and lived almost ten years with it... #RIP

Awakenings was pretty great and there aren't many medical dramas better than it.

Re: Penny Marshall dead at 75

I remember a comedian remarking that "we went from film directors like Bergman, Fellini, and Coppola to Opie, Laverne, and Meathead."

But they're all talented directors AND actors. RIP, Laverne.

I never saw much Happy Days, but I loved Laverne & Shirley. "Step on the corn to change banana."

Re: Penny Marshall dead at 75

RIP

Big and Awakenings were great movies.

Riding in Cars with Boys was decent and a lot of people liked A League of their Own.

She was working on a Dennis Rodman doc that will come out next year.

Maybe it was her illness but she was not doing a lot of movies or her brand of comedy/drama was out of fashion in the 2000's.

When I was a kid, I tried milk and Pepsi after watching an episode of Laverne and Shirley. Nasty stuff.

She actually drank that in real life.
