Oh, geez. I was obsessed with the Outsiders books back in the '80s. This is seriously tempting now.

They also had an appearance recently in the cartoon Justice League Action in a Firestorm themed episode.

I'm a week behind on this, but apparently today's episode is a crossover episode with Doom Patrol.

Brendan Fraser and Matt Bomer will be guest starring.

I really liked the crossover episode. It has me looking forward to the Doom Patrol series.

Thought the last two episodes were pretty cool. Thought the most recent was a good backdoor pilot for the Doom Patrol series.

Really wish we could binge these episodes. The weekly format is a bitch for a streaming series.

Re: DC's Titans (DC Universe) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18

In some of the DC groups I'm reading so much disappointment with this ep featuring the Doom Patrol. It weird because a lot for the comments are like this:

"I really enjoyed the Titans eps so far, but the Doom Patrol ep was terrible!...I'm now worried the series won't be that good...."

It's like they're ready to give up already and when you mention that 1 ep does not mean it's a shit show and to give the remaining eps a chance... and that ALL series have at least one "terrible" or "not as great as the others" ep...People lose their shit.

I can't wait for the X-Men comparisons and comments that will mention that it's a rip off. DP preceded the X-Men by a few months.

I doubt we'll get many complaining, though, the X-men that most people know aren't the outcast freaks that the Doom Patrol are.

This is the only original show they have right now. They can't post the entire season otherwise they would risk losing subscribers due to binge/cancel. They just don't have enough content to do it.

Also, they need talking points for their DC Daily show as they devote 1 show to talk about the current week's Titans episode.

But you can just do what I'm going to do, wait until it's out, binge, and cancel.

Young Justice Part 1 and 2, Swamp Thing, Doom Patrol, Star Girl and Harley Quinn are also all going to be rolled out once per week as well.

It's a super slow roll out through Winter 2019, but I see their aim with the 1/week roll out is to try to keep subscribers waiting for the new original shows.

If your aim is to only pay $8 3-4 times per year for what you're interested in, then you have to pay attention to the rollout schedule.

DOOM PATROL is the best episode yet. Solid 'B+'. The Dick and Kory stuff was boring.
Robotman and Negative, wardrobe department did an excellent job on those two.
A bit disappointed with the actor playing the Chief.
Hopefully Timothy Dalton will do it better on the series.

Looks like JASON TODD is in the next episode, Photos.

Did Jason just break that cop's back? Brutal.

For a show that can't have Batman (I loved that one meta moment an episode ago when Gar asks "Are we gonna meet Batman??" and Dick smirks and says, "No", almost winking to the camera), this show is balls deep in Batman lore.

All caught up now. Man this show is great. If you're not watching, you're missing out. Jason Todd was awesome and such a prick.

"Being Robin means I can do whatever the fuck I want!"

You won't catch that on the CW

It's worth the price if you're a fan of Young Justice (S3 pt.1 premieres in Jan/ pt.2 in Summer), you'll also get access to Doom Patrol, Star Girl and Swamp Thing which hit in 2019. I also assume Season 2 of Titans will premiere in the fall of 2019.

Re: DC's Titans (DC Universe) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18

I'm caught up through episode 8 "Donna Troy" which was posted 2 weeks ago.

So far, so good.

I didn't realize that Diana Prince had a protege. But, I do like the actress who plays Donna. She's cute and she has chemistry with Dick.

And finally they let the cat out of the bag that Starfire (Cory) is here to kill Raven.

Hawk and Dawn is the latest episode out. There are 2 more episodes left this season FYI.

This show is so much better than you think it would be. Best comic show on TV right now.

Re: DC's Titans (DC Universe) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18

Yes, great show. Even the most recent episode was captivating. I was kind of annoyed to get a Hawk & Dove episode after last week’s cliffhanger, but it sucked me in. I never read their stuff or knew anything about them, but after that episode I care about and like the characters.

Starfire still looks like a prostitute, though. Her wardrobe is my only real complaint.

There are murmurings they want to do a Hawk & Dove spin-off series.

Re: DC's Titans (DC Universe) -- Season 1 Thread -- Premieres 10/12/18

I'm way behind on this and finally watched Asylum. Pretty good episode though I find it kind of crazy that Rachel Nichols is now doing middle aged woman roles(seriously how did she not become a bigger star?). I'm still really enjoying this show, but I have two main problems:

1. Starfire still looks awful. With the look they chose Anna Diop is miscast. She's alright enough as an actress but every time she's onscreen I want to laugh.

2.I can't help but feel like this show is still basically Robin and company. The Batman mythos loom so large over this show, and Dick is such an interesting character that I often find myself just wishing we had a Robin/Nightwing series.
