This show is great. I don't see how the skinny chick died. Last season she had armor under her skin. And man harpoon scene was brutal.

It had some good moments, but it wasn't my favorite BL episode.
I did like the scene where Bill figured out that Jefferson was Black Lightning. At least they don't treat him like he's stupid. Didn't really care for Anissa going on her Robin Hood robbery spree.
Loved the last scene with the mystery woman and Tobias Whale. Episode was sorely lacking Whale.

The season finale last year had a lot of disconnect for me. They had a huge trauma, killed a lot of people and then they show the whole happy family. It struck me as weird.

I think the premiere hinted at the fact that they're all hiding their trauma and that might not be the best idea in the world. Hopefully everyone, particularly the mom and youngest daughter will figure out how to deal with everything that's piled on their heads.

How old is Jennifer? 16 or 17? I don't remember exactly what happened, but I'm pretty sure Anissa killed a few people, and (maybe) Jennifer as well. I can't imagine how the family is OK after something that traumatizing.

The scene with BL and Henderson was great. So was the second bedroom scene with Jeff and Lynn. The season is off to a good start.

One of the better social commentary shows on TV- much better done than Supergirl's heavy handedness. I hope Batwoman is done as well.

Eh I wasn't really impressed. It felt like one of those episodes that was dragging out plot points from the season finale for one more episode. I liked the scene with BL and the Chief Deputy, liked the harpoon scene and am still pissed they killed of Cyanide.
I don't know this show just doesn't grab me. I liked season 1 but I've never been excited to watch it each week it's just there for me. I still think the show would be stronger if it just mainly focused on BL and Gambi and less with the family stuff.

BL: "What's next? Thunder on Instagram and Twitter?"
I guess Thunder is becoming a little full of herself now.
The singer Anissa flirted with is actually kind of cute.
It was nice to see BL and Thunder together again in costume.
Kind of a low key episode. It was more about Jefferson accepting that he won't be principal anymore.
and man Tobias is ruthless. Breaking the neck of a friend because he's a loose end.

It’s weird that Jefferson is still a teacher after he’s replaced as the principal. That just undermines the new guy.

I have a feeling that Jefferson and the new principal will not see eye to eye and we'll get to see that play out. We'll have to wait and see if the writers make the new guy an actual villain.

Jefferson wearing a Superman shirt in a photo. Freeland exists on Earth 38?

Tobias getting caught felt way too easy. I think we're going to see some kind of big breakout sequence in a follow up episode.
We do see some conflict with the Khalil character and his alter ego.

They used this Bobby Blue Bland song in the pilot. He's well known for his classic blues but this is one of my favorites. Whoever picks the music has excellent taste.

Liked this ep a bit more than the 1st two. I love the addition of Bill Duke, Robert Townsend, and Erika Alexander (a Meta!!).
Looking forward to how Lightning will be helped by Erik Alexander's character.
