He did. I said that because his brother was saying "I never got to tell him it was an accident" or something to that effect. That's why I thought Jack assumed he did it on purpose.

Yes the brother said that. I was responding to the idea that the Jack we've gotten to know so far would never assume his brother killed the kid on purpose. Under normal circumstances I'd agree with you. These were far from normal circumstances.

Of course, one could make the argument that that's how the brother views it, -that telling him it was an accident would make things right and that was something the brother held on to.

True. I do hope we get some more back story beyond what we've seen.
I can't remember, did we ever learn why the necklace was special other than knowing who it came from?

Yeah, Kevin found them at a random tourist trap shop. But there's still the question of what made it special to Jack that he would keep it and pass it down to his son? Was the woman who gave it to him the mother of the kid who got killed? Or was it just a plot point we should ignore now?

Ok, thanks. I'd still like to know what made him keep it and pass it down. I feel like there would need to be something more to the story. I'm also not holding my breathe as it seems we may have reached the end of the Vietnam era now that the brother has been explained.

Sucks this has been delayed by two weeks because of that stupid state of the union speech.

Good episode to start it back up. Although, I still find it hilarious that Kate can so effortlessly travel cross country while pregnant and end up at home looking like she simply ran to the corner store for a drink.

Was Toby too lazy to pick her up at the airport? Maybe they can afford for ride service. Hopefully Toby makes a good salary. Have they discussed what their plans are once the baby comes? Will Kate be a stay at home mom or will she keep working?

I really enjoy this show but again with the effortless and immediate cross-country travel. I know Kevin said they had been in the hospital for 10 hours but wtf. Randall get's the call, heads to the nearest airport (Pitt?), non-stop to LAX, hops an Uber and gets to the hospital without a hair out of place. And now that he's a public servant and Beth is a dance teacher, how they affording that house and the jet setting life style?
Also, I don't see why Toby looked upset at Kevin. If they were in Hollywood, it's very safe to assume that an Ambulance would be much quicker to get Kate to a hospital rather than him driving her through LA traffic.

Right; grew up in Pitt, lives in NJ now. For some reason I thought he was still around his home area. Either way, I want their travel agent.

It's as much because he admitted he was drinking again and was in no condition to drive.

It just seemed like they're setting up Kevin as the fall-guy for anything bad which might happen cause he couldn't get Kate there quickly. Sure, he was off the wagon but an Ambulance was still the right call even if he were sober.

So is the baby going to be Jack Pearson or Jack Damon? It seems that Kate didn't take Toby's last name so what would the baby's last name be? Maybe Jack Pearson-Damon? I'm not sure I would want to name a preemie Jack since there's the possibility that it might not make it.
So Kate just had to introduce a new toy of her choosing into the baby's life after she got rid of all of Toby's original Star Wars figures that he wanted to share with his child one day.

Finch!!! Holy shit. I would’ve barely even recognized him if not for the voice.
Also, do people actually leave voicemails anymore?

Still love the show; still think they're shifting how their characters react to situations to fit the story they want to tell.
Beth heard the VM but didn't see any of the texts or missed messages? Saw all that on her phone and went to the VM rather than sending a quick text about traffic?
