Presuming Riggs is dead (which is pretty much confirmed), this show at least has to address it ina big way - yes?

All the promos have been the same old, with goofy happy go lucky Murtaugh though.

I’m still on the fence for checking this out of curiosity, but pretty sure my run with this show is done.

Well that was an interesting mini-reboot.
No messing around about it on this show, old guy out, new guy in and have Murtaugh deal with everything about that in one ep.
Over looking the drama as to why the show has a different actor, I got to say Seann William Scott is a good fit for the character he is being tasked to play.

That was actually quite fun. Lots of action, a major car/truck chase with a huge crash and a house blew up. I liked Seann William Scott's character Cole. I think he fit in quite well and gelled with Wayans.

and nice addition to the cast having Maggie Lawson as well.

I gave it a shot out of curiosity and was pretty meh on it, It had some good action scenes and I thought that Sean William Scott fit pretty well. But at the same token it feels like he would be better served on an NCIS spinoff or something similar like that.


Was kind of surprised that they wrote off Riggs as quick as they did. I might watch it again but Lethal Weapon was always a show that I would watch when I got bored. I don't think I will be in any hurry to watch these new episodes now. I don't know, it just feels too different.

Didn't like the Murtaught grieving scenes knowing what happening in real life, it just wasn't possible to picture Wayans feeling anything for Riggs death

I guess it's only one episode and now they will probably go the route of forgetting Riggs ever existed

So basically other than Damon's character being called Murtaugh (and Leo if he's still showing up this season), literally nothing about this is Lethal Weapon anymore. Can they just change the name at this point?

It improved on The Gifted last night, and while still down from previous seasons, it's holding steady which is rare from a season premiere anymore. So at least it'll get a little time to grow.

I wonder if he's trying to get ahead of a possible cancellation announcement. When this is canceled, he's going to take much of the blame.

The ratings from I can tell have been decent. It wasn’t in danger.

I don’t think this show makes it for another recast.

He gave valid reasons because of his age and health, but man talk about screwing over your cast mates and crew who need this job yet again.

But Crawford did say that Wayans was so over working on this show a year ago.

So you took a TV show knowing the hours you put in. You pushed a guy off the show because he was difficult. Now you quit the show. Ok, I am ready to call you and asshole now.

They should just spin this show off with SWS and make it a different show in name, but with same police cast. If not, hopefully SWS gets another job like this. He is good on this and needs to get more work out of this opportunity.

Well to be fair, that's why you have contracts. They could have locked him for longer from the get go or had an option. It's just so rare to see the actor walk from a paying gig of staring on a show for 3 years.
If I was Fox and the ratings hold up all season I might take as shot at a total reboot into S4. Push the lawyer wife over to the DA's or keep her a defense lawyer and have more dangerous clients.
Maybe the classic shift over to a PI vs law enforcement. Lets not forget Hollywood made a movie based off the Battleship board game, I think they can figure out a way to salvage a show that lost both stars.

Even if odds are they just don't pick it up for season 4.
