I think they implied that the ancestral twins were more than just brother/sister

Just watched the latest episode. One thing I don't get, why hasn't Clarice/Blink had to brand herself with an 'M' yet? Wasn't it shown to be a big deal that they had to do that right away when someone joins the Morlocks?

It's definitely subtext in how their scenes are playing out. I'm guessing network television won't go there. HBO would be another matter...

Mutants with any outward sign of their X gene don't need the brand. I guess crazy colored hair and eyes count even though those could be easily faked.

I think it's more to do with the fact that Natalie Alyn Lind is one of the hottest cutie new talents on TV and the actor who plays Andy probably has impure thoughts about her in every scene filmed with her. And that comes accross on camera

It would be hilarious to me if they actually went there. And I guess there’s precedent if you look at the Ultimate versions of Quicksilver & Scarlet Witch. Or Hulk/She-Hulk from Old Man Logan.

Did this get canceled? According to my TiVo no episode was broadcast this week (1/29/19) and there are no upcoming episodes either.

A three week layoff? What's up with that?

That's what I was wondering, too.

Andy's return to the fold felt too easy. One minute he's down with Raina's plan and acting like a psychopath--"Sure, we'll just have to kill some people I guess" and the next he's all hugs and kisses reuniting with his family.

I kinda like this show. Better than most of the CW shows anyways.

Andy was always portrayed as a reluctant participant with the Brotherhood so it's understandable once Reid shared that he also did terrible things Andy was willing to return.

Andy also now realizes that his dead gf was nothing but cannon fodder to faux Black Canary.

If Oliver Queen can be a sociopath and nobody on the forum cares why not Andy?

Re: The Gifted (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 9/25/18

Is Reid really dead? Is the Mutant Underground done for good? Is Clarice from another reality, the future, or just on the way home from a rave? All these questions will be answered, and more, on the next season of......

The Gifted.

I like this show, warts and all. Thunderbird was great. Loved that scene. I don't mind Andy turning back to good. What I do mind is that Polaris really doesn't use her powers as she should! She's the most powerful mutant in the group, but she still has to hide behind cars and such. Her dad would be so disappointed in her.

Yeah, that was strange that Polaris was acting like such a wimp in that fight.

Re: The Gifted (FOX) -- Season 2 Thread -- premieres 9/25/18

I get the feeling that the season finale was acting as a series finale for the producers. This show is unlikely to get a third season with the changes to Fox.

It wouldn't surprise me if they do in fact kill off Reid if the show does come back. Moyer is almost certainly the most expensive cast member and his character has become more and more superfluous as the plot develops.
