Yawn... you just know it's going to be a cheap 4 hr "mini series" that would've been better as a 2.5hr movie. Prove me otherwise Marvel.

You sound very open-minded about the whole thing.

I’ve been half losing interest in the MCU lately, but I will say Secret Invasion looks pretty awesome. Like the tone of the trailer and that it’s more serious. None of the usual Marvel forced comedy moments.

Ditto what seems to be the feel on superhero movies lately. I still haven't seen most of the recent superhero fare. Just grown somewhat tired of it, and not really interested in some of the characters that they are featuring now. But this looks like it could be good. Maybe because it has characters that I know and like.

The comedy is getting really old. Not that I want DC grimdark, but not everything has to be full of zany antics either. After Love and Thunder, they really, really, need to rein that in.

They kind of nailed in on She-Hulk, the show was drained of all comedy.

Echo all at once is an interesting change.

They did market research and realized that no one cares about Echo, and they wonder why they even green-lit the show in the first place.

Look for Ironheart to be another one where they drop all of the episodes at the same time.

I liked her character and want to see where they go with her plot points.

I wonder if Echo was greenlit before Disney got Daredevil back? It seems like Hawkeye would have been a natural progression into a Daredevil show

It is a continuation of from the stuff in Hawkeye and will then continue into Born Again. DD and Kingpin will appear on Echo.

Me too. Echo was just about the only character I really cared about or was interested in on Hawkeye. I imagine I'm in the minority though.

Hey, if we get DD and the Kingpin in that show, I'm definitely in.

So this might explain why Echo is being dumped all at once. Supposedly according to this report, it’s not good. And they had to do reshoots to fix issues.

lol, I guess they want to rip off the band-aid quickly and get it over with. I would rather have had a season 2 of Hawkeye anyway, even with limited or no Renner since they've laid the groundwork for Steinfeld's character to step up. I wonder how this affects the chances of that happening.

I think the great fanbase still doesn't allow itself to realize how the mighty have fallen, but the MCU has to put out some great content to not further damage the brand. In the movies the last phase was pretty bad and the shows weren't that great either after the strong start.

Maybe they realized no one cares about this character and will only be tuning in for Daredevil and Kingpin? Hopefully the reshoots were to get more screen time for those characters.

Yeah. Took a bit of googling to figure out who Echo was. As someone that really enjoyed the Hawkeye series, I could not care less for an Echo series.

Re: Marvel Cinematic Universe shows on Disney+ Discussion Thread - news, rumors, etc.

As someone who REALLY enjoyed Echo's solo series in Marvel Comics, her appearance in Hawkeye did nothing for me. And the Marvel/Disney+ relationship thus far gives me zero confidence that it would be done better in her own D+ series. So yeah, if they can't sell me, I don't expect much of anyone else to care.
