Wow. Disney is really looking to dethrone Netflix as the premier streaming service.
I bet it won't be $7 for the entry tier for long. At that price it's less than half the cost of Netflix's 4k plan, and Disney includes 4k for $7. I really hope they offer at least some sort of standard surround sound option (if not Atmos). They're going to have to offer both Dolby Vision and Atmos if they want to compete with Netflix and Prime.

Considering Disney's involvement in BamTech, I have no doubts they won't will offer highest resolution and sound possible.

Hulu started streaming 4k content again (no HDR) and offers surround sound (no Atmos), and the overall bitrate is pretty low. Let's hope with Disney+ they can do better.

They don't even have Jeffrey Wright listed as The Watcher, either.

You cannot compare Disney plus and Netflix. Netflix has way more programming and a broader amount of genres.

WandaVision, the Disney+ series starring Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Betteny will follow in spring 2021 and take place after Endgame as Wanda Maximoff deals with the loss of her partner, Vision. Captain Marvel character Monica Rambeau, who was a child in that film, will appear as an adult and be played by Teyonah Parris.
Loki, starring Tom Hiddleston's trickster god, will debut on Disney+ in spring 2021. Feige revealed that this features the 2012 version of the character who in Endgame stole an Infinity Stone, but it will take place after Endgame. Part of the mystery is where he's been and what he's been up to.
Back on the Disney+ front, the alternate reality animated series What If...? will hit summer 2021, with Jeffrey Wright voicing the all-seeing Watcher. A number of MCU actors will reprise their roles.
A Disney+ Hawkeye event series will star Jeremy Renner, who strolled out on stage, and will feature the fan favorite comic book character Katie Bishop, a young protege of the archer. It hits fall 2021. The theme of show will be Hawkeye, a superhero with no superpowers, teaching someone else how to be a hero with no powers.

With Captain Marvel flying high in on the big-screen, Marvel Studios is now focusing its other marvelous heroine, Ms. Marvel.
Marvel is developing a live-action series for Disney+, its upcoming streaming service, based on its acclaimed comic Ms. Marvel, hiring British writer Bisha K. Ali to write and act as showrunner. Ali is a comedian who is currently a staff writer on Hulu’s remake of Four Weddings and a Funeral.
The show may be announced during Friday’s Disney+ presentation. Marvel had no comment.
Ms. Marvel as a comic and heroine has existed since 1976, with the character Carol Danvers using the name for her crime-fighting escapades. Several other characters have briefly taken up the mantle and Danvers herself became Captain Marvel in 2012.
The latest incarnation, and the one the show will be focusing on, is a teenager named Kamela Khan. Khan broke ground by becoming Marvel’s first Muslim character to be lead her own comics title. Her identity as a Pakistani American, living in a religious family in New Jersey whilst trying to find her own way, have been a major focus of the stories. Her powers have been described as polymorphous, meaning she has the ability to stretch and change her shape.
The comic has appeared on numerous year-end top 10 lists and won a Hugo Award for best graphic story in 2015.
No timetable has been set for the show and it unclear whether the show will fit into the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Marvel is developing several other shows for the streamer that will be tied to the MCU. These include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, to debut in late 2020; WandaVision, to debut in spring 2021; Loki, also for early 2021; and Hawkeye, for late 2021.
Ali is repped by CAA.
