Yep. Got excited almost with the first frame as my brain immediately began thinking "Wait - is this Saul Goodman's office??"

Absolutely, seeing the final day of Saul Goodman office was amazing.
Saw Jimmy getting rolled coming from a million miles away. No idea why Kim is begging for her job when she clearly has no interest in it.
Looking forward to hearing this week's podcast.

From one of the worst episodes, to one of the best in my view. The scene with the German civil engineer was brilliant, and the "middle" opening was pretty amazing. Still think we are headed for a time jump soon.

I've loved the song "Street Life" since the opening credits of "Sharkey's Machine" back in the early '80s, and it made for a very dynamic sequence.

The opening was great - as were both sequences with the engineer 'interviews'. I'm glad they're tackling the origination of the lab and how it came about - didn't expect them to spend much time on that. The sequence with Jimmy peddling the cell phones at the all-night diner was good, but went on a bit longer than it probably needed to.

Loved seeing Saul/Jimmy in the Breaking Bad timeline.
Noticed a couple shots of Jimmy where you just saw him from the neck up (or shoulder up) - once at his apartment when watching TV and the other at his PPD check-in. Wonder if there was some symbolism or if they were hinting/foreshadowing something.
I liked that Gus didn't go with the French contractor who used some tech tools to do his survey and was over-confident, but had more faith in the old-school German contractor who took longer to survey because he was honest and wasn't downplaying the difficulty in the requested task.

Yeah, clearly the other guy was full of shit and making claims he couldn't possibly make good on. Love that they were driving them in from Denver with a hood on so they'd have no idea which city or town the Superlab was in.

I enjoyed the opening and the lab stuff, but not much else in this episode.
Getting rolled after the cell phone sale was too predictable (and I thought a con man would be smarter than to keep all the money in his wallet), and the court stuff just wasn't very interesting. I realize it's going to be significant, but there was just nothing enthralling about it.
Needs more nacho.

I think the shoebox he pulled out of the Constitution wall is the same shoebox from the very first scene of the first episode that has old photos, passport, and his Saul Goodman commercial videotape.

I thought this was an excellent episode but a quiet episode. There was no hold your breath or wow moment but everything just worked for me. Every week Jimmy just gets closer and closer...He wants to do good but he has his own moral standard as to what that is.

Yeah, I get that, but why doesn't she just quit MV instead of doing a half-assed job? Doing a half-assed job could be grounds for disbarment.

Yes, that was my issue as well. She had an out, could have said "This just isn't right for me anymore" and left on okay terms. Instead she wants to sabotage a company that really helped her out, as well as her own reputation, and I have no idea how that helps her. She has never seemed self-destructive before.

Set up for her and Jimmy continuing their relationship post BB? She has no problem defending guilty people which is right around where Saul ends up. Those guilty people will be her source of income when the MV deal falls through?

That would be interesting - present-day Jimmy gets caught while hiding, and Kim turns up to defend him and (hopefully) wins.
