Wasn't Carl taking a blow torch to a cat in the very first episode? When did he become such a softie for animals? Maybe he only likes dogs and not cats.

It's great how they put the episodes up on demand so early now. Watching Shameless first thing in the morning on Sunday clears some time for my other Sunday night shows. Same for Kidding.

Gee, Frank sure has the quickest possible onset of a side effect from his liver drug. I don't think he had even started the generic drug yet, unless he got some at the hospital. And of course, it was the side effect that had the most comedic possibilities. I guess there's the possibility of it just being psychosomatic, but I wouldn't give the writers that much credit.
And what is up with Liam having (or not having) sex? Ewwww, gross.

If you'll remember the hospital was going to give him a mega dose before they released him. But yeah I'm not sure the symptom would present itself on the way home.

Having said that... yeah, I don't think it could have given him ED in, like, an hour.

I figured they were gonna give him the generic as prescription to take regularly. I thought he was already on an IV with the original drug.

Took about 2 seconds into the HoboLoco boardroom pitch to figure out that Frank would be involved - and I didn't need the picture of him dumpster-diving to clue in.
The just keep having Frank fall ass-backwards into things.
I guess Fiona's an alcoholic now? Yea, we've never seen that story line before.
Having Frank use Carl's sperm without his knowledge to impregnate someone is just another attempt to out-disgust the audience. I swear this has to be a competition among the writers of the show.
If I were Lip, I'd continue banging the sister of his "girlfriend". She's much hotter.
I'd love to be in this Shameless universe - it seems easy for anyone to get laid all the time.

The finale airs tonight. I already watched it On Demand.
Kind of a ho-hum finale in the way they deal with Fiona, but not unexpected. They wouldn't do anything other than open-endedness because they'll want to lure Emmy back some day, I assume.
I don't really much appeal without her. But, I'll give next season a shot.

Fiona's idea for leaving was pretty sudden - I think the first inkling in her mind was at the Alibi. Figured they were going to pepper the idea at least in the previous episode.
Frank's a dick about his goodbye to Fiona - never admitting the full extent of her importance to the family... but it was obvious he knew what she's done and he'll miss her.
As much as her character frustrated me with stupid decisions she's made, you felt bad for her because she sacrificed so much of her life previously by taking care of the family.
Like her or hate her - she was really the nucleus of this show. The series should have ended with her leaving, as I'm not sure how this will be without her.

Shameless has basically fallen into the "it's still enjoyable but I wouldn't mind if it was over category" for me. I hope that Carl / Debbie's GF sticks around for next season and also Lip's. I haven't really cared about Fiona in years. Her character made so many bad decisions over the years that it was hard to feel sympathy for her, so I'm fine with her leaving.
The show is like a cat. The season 7 finale was clearly written as a series finale. And last night's would've been fine as a series finale as well. I'll be around for season 10.

I really hope that they do not drag this out unnecessarily simply for the sake of making as many seasons of this US version as the UK one, but also would not be shocked even a little if they go there, since it's on Showtime.
