Probably a smart move. Assume it will get some buzz so may attract some new subs.

Whoa, that looks like itís got a huge budget - Iím in! Looks fantastic.

I just finished the campaign for Infinite so Iím in a Halo mood anyway.

I dunno if itís CGI or not but if they built a fully-functional Warthog thatís pretty awesome too.

Yeah the definitely put money into this. Helps being in Paramount+ as it will reach a wider audience. Not much if a Halo fan, but I will aways watch space sci-fi stuff.

Haven't played since Halo 3 but enjoyed the games, mainly multiplayer.

This looks surprisingly good.

I’m not a big player of Halo. But I will watch this. The special effects and costumes look good.

I'm not a Halo player either (although I have PC Game Pass so I might play the current one) but I'm up for any well produced sci-fi show.

as a fan of Call of Duty, I hated the FPS mechanics of Halo and was never a fan.

It looks like a mix of AAA special effects work on top of a B-grade show, but I'll definitely give it a shot though after the original, Halo's storyline hasn't done it for me.

re: Halo: The Series (Paramount+) S: Pablo Schreiber -- premieres 3/24/22

Funny story about HALO the game. Back when my kids were young (pre-teen) HALO was the big thing. They got it and started playing, but my wife had heard somewhere that HALO was ultra violent and told them they were not allowed to play. So they put the game away for a week or so, and started playing again. My wife walked in and asked them what they were playing, and they said "Alien X Adventure". She watched for a bit, and left the room. Apparently it wasn't too violent after all. Years later they told her what they had done and she got really mad, but only for a short while. I told her that maybe this shows that you should look at the source to see for yourself instead of just trusting what others say, and she got mad at me - for longer.

I wonder if the Flood will be in season 1 or if that’ll be more of a cliffhanger for the season.

I think it looks awesome and has Avatar grade effects, which means it will definitely look great. I like Pablo Schrieber ever since I saw him in Den of Thieves.

re: Halo: The Series (Paramount+) S: Pablo Schreiber -- premieres 3/24/22

I havenít played since Halo 3 over 10 years ago. Multiplayer was awesome but I donít recall a single thing about the story.

that trailer looks pretty great. Iíll hold out for some reviews but this may be what finally pushes me to subscribe to Parmount+.

Pablo Schreiber is very underrated. Based on that trailer, he keeps his helmet on more than all the Mandalorians in the last two Star Wars shows.

re: Halo: The Series (Paramount+) S: Pablo Schreiber -- premieres 3/24/22

I'm just in total disbelief this is actually happening. How long has rumors of a live action Halo movie/TV series been kicking around? Almost as long as DVDTalk has been around I'd guess.

Edit:

This is the earliest thread I can find in 2005. So not as long as I thought but still 17 years ago.

Some of the effects actually looked bad to me, but Iíll give it a shot. I signed up for the P+ annual discount, so Iím good for Discovery, Picard, this, and Strange New Worlds.

re: Halo: The Series (Paramount+) S: Pablo Schreiber -- premieres 3/24/22

Looks impressive for a tv show, but why couldn't they just hire the voice actor for the game? Non-blue Cortanna? And everyone knows the setting they think of first when exploring the Halo rings is a desert?

Some questionable decisions, but I'll check it out.

re: Halo: The Series (Paramount+) S: Pablo Schreiber -- premieres 3/24/22

The showrunner of Halo said that Steven Spielberg, who is an EP on this show, was a very hands on producer for this series and very involved with it creatively.

Sooo glad we'll see other Enhanced Soldiers. That was my fave part of the series in some of the HALO games.

I really havenít played much of the games, but for some reason I think the series looks pretty good. I have Paramount+ for a few months so Iíll probably check it out.
