Finally finished the three episodes. Wow! This show is still top notch with the hardcore time travel plots. Good stuff. I love it.
Some decent John Wick style action in the premiere too.
The “no explanation” for the Jennifer Goines falling onto the train track was really well done. I’m surprised I was able to pick up on it as the scene progressed. Didn’t have to go online for the explanation haha You really have to be a hardcore time travel fan to get it right away. Bravo.

I am on episode 4 (or maybe episode 5) of the last season...will be caught up soon. Glad I took the time to decide to ride it out to the end because this is such a bugnuts crazy show and even when I am paying full attention and not futzing around on my iPad it is hard to make heads or tails of what is shaking out on the tv screen.
Pretty crazy and wonderful that this spin-off of the film was able to stick around long enough to see a fourth season.

Were Friday's episodes out of order or was my guide data wrong? My DVR recorded them as episodes 4-6-5.

My TiVo says 4-6-5 also, but it could just be bad guide data. Regardless, the broadcast order is the intended viewing order, I believe.

So have 6 episodes taking up a good chunk of my hard-drive - are they worth blasting trough, or should I delete and move on?

Well, I binged all 6 episodes. That last Nazi one was... weird. I mean, it was fun, but that musical performance for Hitler and Cassie's dominatrix Nazi (as hot as she was), seemed really out of place for this show - it was fun, but just more wacky than what we're used to for the show.

At first I was confused why my tivo did not record episode 6 and I thought I would have to see it on demand but then I noticed the out of order listing.

Sorry to be dense but the way they show up on my tivo unwatched show guide it also shows eps 4, 6, and 5 is at the top of the list...should I watch what my tivo thinks is episode 6 before episode 5 (which is actually 6 if the Tivo program guide was not acting doofy when recording the show).

I really enjoy this show end with its faults. The world is literally about to end and everyone is still keeping secrets? Really? It only took six episodes to get all the cards on the table. Good to see the FBI agent survived. It’s also good to see the writers are self aware of the loops the show falls into and use that as a plot point. It is possible Cole’s mom is Primary? Plus: That’s exactly what you do with a time machine.

Just watched episode 5 (The Christopher Lloyd one).
I’m just gonna say it - this show features the best use of time travel in movies/TV since Back to the Future.
Phenomenal

Finished episode 6 (Nazi episode). I said it last season and I’ll say it again - Emily Hampshire deserves an Emmy.

That Nazi episode was fucking ridiculously hilarious and not completely out of line with the show despite how ridiculous it was.

In my opinion, nothing seemed out of place for the last batch of episodes. I remember an 80s timeline episode from season 3 that was just as quirky.
And the singing performance was obviously a nod to BTTF, so it’s not completely random. I get the joke.

And Amanda Schull looked sexy as hell as Cassandra in the dominatrix Nazi outfit, as little sense as that scene makes (when did she have time to change?)
The Nazi episode was definitely in line with the 80s heist episode from season 3. The show's been great at threading the needle of doing some comedy in an otherwise deadly serious scenario.

Finished the latest block. I’ll admit I did not see the twist at all. I had totally bought into James being the Witness’s grandson. Not only is he Hannah’s son, Jones’s grandson but also the demon from the poem. This might be my favorite time traveling show ever.

That was one of the most satisfying series finales I've seen in awhile. They pretty much wrapped up ever plot point and stayed within the structure the show built. This is sci-fi done right.

Re: 12 Monkeys (SyFy) -- The Final Season Thread -- Premieres 6/15/18
Watched the two-part finale today. I agree with Kdogg that it was a very satisfying finale. They managed to tie up all the plot points, which is very tricky for a multi-season time travel story.
There was a fair amount of fan service, bringing back a lot of dead characters because, hey, time travel. And the choice of pop songs in a few places were funny, but oddly appropriate.
I do feel the show zig-zagged away from the more downbeat ending the first season may have suggested. But a four season show is a different beast than a single season show or a 2 hour movie. Viewers get a lot more attached to the characters, and you want to see them end up happy, especially if they're ultimately good people. Not every show can be Breaking Bad, and even there Jesse got his freedom.
