Luke Cage is back.
After clearing his name, Luke Cage has become a celebrity on the streets of Harlem with a reputation as bulletproof as his skin. But being so visible has only increased his need to protect the community and find the limits of who he can and can’t save. With the rise of a formidable new foe, Luke is forced to confront the fine line that separates a hero from a villain.

Fair question considering how much he was in JJ season 1.

I'm surprised we didn't get any pre-reviews like usual with these Netflix series. Maybe the last few being iffy in quality caused that.

I watched the first episode this morning... and realized how much of the first season I forgot about (names, faces, criminal affiliations, etc.), but it did well at trying to smooth these questions out.
I liked the first 7-8 episodes of Season 1... but I liked the series over all.
I'm going to slowly go through this one.

Ugh. Jaywalking in the opening scene. I have little respect for people who break traffic laws. What a douche.

I watched the first episode, and I also didn't realize how many people I forgot from Season 1. It was ok, nothing really stood out that hooked me from the one episode, but I really don't care for Shades.

No reference. The law breaking asshole just jaywalked like a dick.
Also, why does the video look like I have Active Tracking on when I don’t? Not crazy about it’s look. I like that look for sports, game, and reality shows. But I can’t adjust to enjoying that look in regular movies and tv.
I’m still a sucker for anything MCU and will surely watch and enjoy this.

I'm 3 episodes in
I am enjoying it, but it just seems like they map out the storyline they want to achieve and then add on 30 percent of fluff to fill in the time
This has been the same for most of the Marvel series, they can easily up the pace and condense the fluff a bit. They just want more content to boost the Netflix volume

In season one wasnt Luke Cage against the N-word? I could have sworn he's used that word a few times at least in ep 4 or 5 (maybe earlier), and referred to himself as one.

I've one episode away from the end. Look it's been good but way too drawn out. There are whole 15 minute segments which could get cut
you think of almost 13 hours long, how many characters and story Marvel movies fit in. Here we have 13 hours with a handful of characters, some of which are very boring ones
There really is time for at least 3 major storylines, not just one, and double the number of supervillians and regular villians and quadruple the amount of action/fights

The Shades and Mariah relationship is all kinds of creepy. Both characters were more developed this season. Alfre Woodard had some funny lines. I enjoyed it overall.
