Overly extreme shoveling political agendas in our face as usual. -_-

I’ll watch final ep and that’s it. Haven’t seen this season. Flash either. My interests waned...

 Another political statement episode. Oh boy.

This episode must have been written post-Texas and Parkland. I'm sure this is getting a lot of hate on the Supergirl social media sites. Plus, we had Lena and James getting into that heated discussion about guns.

and then J'onn giving that big speech about the DEO eliminating firearms and trying to promote peace.

Not a lot to like about this episode.

Aside from that, is Samantha actually free from Reign? At the end, it didn't seem like it.

Holy shit. The whole episode was about gun control. The DEO is now doing what local cops/FBI does? How can a federal law enforcement agency not carry lethal weapons in this day and age? They have no federal oversight whatsoever? The whole episode was laughable.

Guaranteed they'll all have freeze guns or something next episode.

Basically the only people left discussing Supergirl on social media are the SJWs, so I wouldn't expect to see much blowback from this episode.

That was subtle.

Nice to see that Berlanti learned from the incredibly well received Arrow gun control episode.I've always had a theory that the writers of this show despised working on a comic book show and feel that by going full SJW mode they think it makes the show "important". Hard to argue with this theory after all the goofy stuff they have put out the last two seasons.

Isn't it weird that Supergirl doesn't mention to Superman that there's a whole city full of living Kryptonians out in space? Figure he might want to check that out himself.

So how long until the writers forget about the new improved, non-lethal DEO?

Btw, DEO must have some nifty far-future tech to be tracking their trip 5 light years away! Hand-wavium eh? (ALso be nice to know if Argo was now in a star system - w a ringed planet - or passing through.)

Superman is a man and weak, therefore by extension he doesn't matter in this show.

I'm not sure why they even brought him in last season to begin with.

After the disastrous Superman appearance last season, the writers pretty much decided to pretend that Superman doesn't exist on the show. It's probably for the best, the hacks writing this show are lucky to be employed in Hollywood.

Disastrous? By what standard? I thought it was fun.

This episode was everything I hate about this show: amateurish writing, whiny characters and club-footed politicizing. It's enough to make you give God and guns a big ol' hug.

It was widely trashed on Superman sites and message boards, putting the final nail in the coffin for many, for this particular take on Supergirl. They just stopped watching.

A lot of Superman fans totally hated how the show went out of the way to showcase that Superman got beat by Supergirl to the point of having Superman comment that he was "full power" and couldn't stand up to her.

It wasn't even just that. It was how ridiculously over the top that they went to show that Supergirl was better than Superman. During the episode you had Superman say all these things:

J'onn or Alex or Winn: Did the Kryptonite effect you?

Superman: No not at all. I was fighting at full strength. Kara easily beat me.

Superman: You need to face her Kara. Your earth's champion. You beat me fair and square.

Superman: Kara your so much stronger than me. I could never have sacrificed Lois. Your better than me

I mean good lord, they wrote him like he had some type of fanboy crush on her. Between thiat, the Guardian storyline, and the show basically becoming The Lesbian Adventures of Alex Danvers guest starring Supergirl this show never recovered from all its season 2 missteps.

Now the show will become how Alex can do it all.

So people whined that the star of the show won a fight? Meh.

Which is even funnier since Kara has beat Kal's ass in the comics too. Nerds are a fickle bunch.

It wasn't about her winning the fight, but the dialogue that happened after with the whole Superman claiming she was better than him in every regard that people had a fit about.

Some clunky dialogue does not a "disastrous" guest appearance make.

yeah, but not any weirder than her not having him help with the world killers

and would it kill hollywood to do a little research and put rear sights on the ARs they use

Same problem with the Flash.

Person A: I can't jump off this skyscraper!
Person B: I believe in you, person A! Nobody I know has a bigger heart than you!
~music in background~

Who TF are writing these episodes.

It's such a pity since Melissa and Grant are such awesome leads.

Does it get worse in Season 4?
