I must say, I really like how Robotman turned out. Those eyes are cool and Fraser does a good job voicing him. He really fits this version of the character.

If you didn't watch that teaser, the show premieres February 15th.
So we'll get the first 1/2 season of Young Justice and then it will jump into Doom Patrol.

That looks like someone's Halloween costume that they put together 15 min before the party

I think that Cliff's shirt might be an obscure tech joke. Back when I learned computer programming, the first assignment was always to do simple math: 3+5=... The second assignment was always to print "Hello world".
There's something odd and sad about a brain in a jar who wears a shirt that says "Hello world".

DOOM PATROL is a re-imagining of one of DC's most beloved groups of outcast Super Heroes: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Girl and Crazy Jane, led by modern-day mad scientist Dr. Niles Caulder (The Chief). The Doom Patrol's members each suffered horrible accidents that gave them superhuman abilities - but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose through The Chief, who brought them together to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence - and to protect Earth from what they find. Part support group, part Super Hero team, the Doom Patrol is a band of super-powered freaks who fight for a world that wants nothing to do with them. Picking up after the events of TITANS, DOOM PATROL will find these reluctant heroes in a place they never expected to be, called to action by none other than Cyborg, who comes to them with a mission hard to refuse, but with a warning that is hard to ignore: their lives will never, ever be the same. Based on DC characters originally written and drawn by Arnold Drake, Bob Haney and Bruno Premiani#DCUDOOMPATROL premieres February 15. New episodes weekly, only on DC Universe.

Since this thread already has some activity, I don't think it's necessary to make a new one.
15 episode season that will be posted 1 per week.
dex14, if you see this. Can you re-work the thread title similar to the previous DCU shows?

I watched the Pilot earlier today and liked it. Interesting mix of period settings and present day and a nice origin story for all the characters.
Surprised at the amount of F bombs dropped and there was some brief nudity and sex, so this is definitely not something for the small kids to watch.
Glad they recast Chief with Timothy Dalton over the actor that played him in the Titans episode. Cyborg was not introduced in the Pilot yet.
I also liked Alan Tudyk as the apparent villain and narrator.
So theoretically Bomer's character Negative Man is in his 70's or 80's since he was a hot shot Pilot in his late 20's or early 30's in 1961.

I really liked it. I don't know much about the comic series, so I'm coming in mostly blind.
I think the show did a good job at filling in enough backstory, while also having 'current' stuff going on so you feel like it's going somewhere instead of a required "catch up" episode.
And it's interesting seeing that the characters are, not downright nasty (because that makes them less likeable), but honestly flawed and human (ironically).
I do like Dalton's Chief more than the Titans one.

Watched it and loved it. But I’m coming in as a long-time reader and fan of Doom Patrol. They really got the team right and I’m impressed by that. Also, the show doesn’t ever come off as cheap to me. It’s not some super-high production number like a theatrical film, but the effects and makeup really look good. Better than Titans, imho, and the team dynamic is far better than Titans also. And I don’t hate Titans, as it got better as it went along, but DP knocks it out of the park on the first episode while Titans took several episodes to get its footing.

Titans and Doom Patrol are now my two favorite shows that are currently on
Doom Patrol looks better.
It should be mentioned that it is some other dude who is in the robot getup, not Fraser.

Yeah I really liked it. But i knew that i would because I was already sold from the ep on Titans.
I LOOOOVE Tudyk's narration. Snarky as fuck and takes hilarious shots at the show and characters. Is he narrating the series or just eps with his character?
I did cringe a bit at certain parts of the CGI for Rita's flesh and immediately thought of what people on dvdtalk would say.

Tudyk actually sounds a lot like how imagined Mr Nobody’s voice to be like when I read Grant Morrison’s run on the comic.

I liked the Pilot a lot. This series seems to have more heart than Titans, but then again it spent more time on each of the characters' backgrounds. The only thing I know about Doom Patrol was their episode in Titans (also a favorite) and what's in the Pilot. Loving the trip so far. Looking forward to more.

I did not notice any problems with CGI.
