In any event Blue Devil was a good run. Maybe they'll put the whole run up for download now.

Did they say who's playing Dr. Woodrue yet?
I'm really hoping Constantine or Animal Man shows up here.

Also posted in the DCU thread
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - DC Universe’s Swamp Thing will end production earlier than expected in Wilmington, according to crew members working on the show.
Cast and crew members got word of the changes during filming on Tuesday night. The reaction on the set was one of shock, said sources who did not want to be named.
The show was scheduled to premiere on a new DC Universe streaming service at the end of May. Leaders in the film industry expected it to shoot several seasons in Wilmington.
We don’t yet know what this means for the future of viewing the show.
Sources: Production of DC Universe’s Wilmington-shot series to end early as Warner Bros. evaluates future of DC Universe streaming service
WILMINGTON -- The locally filmed television series “Swamp Thing” has found itself bogged down by some unexpected news.
The currently in-production project is being shut down earlier than expected as its producer, Warner Bros., evaluates the future of its DC Universe streaming service, on which the series was scheduled to premiere May 31, according to several sources within the local industry.
Local crew members were notified of the unexpected development Tuesday night, and were told the project would wrap production on episode 10 and then halt as writers and producers rewrite an ending. Initially, the show was scheduled to film 13 episodes through May.
It is unclear when that ending would be shot in Wilmington, though several more days of reshoots for previously filmed episodes are expected.

Swamp Thing got shut down early due to creative differences on set.
DC Universe is not in danger. This is unrelated.
It will still air May 31st. Sounds like this show may be a potential train wreck.

Episode order cut from 13 to 10 officially.
As previously reported, they have to do re-writes and re-shoots to accomplish this. I'm sure they already had the 13 episodes written, so they have to cram 4 episodes into 1.

Don't listen to him. He doesn't care or know anything about this show, the service or DC. He's just chiming in because the thread is now "active"

They're probably going to roll all the DCU programming into whatever streaming service WB decides to offer. Probably slowing down production and re-evaluating after the Disney+ announcement.

The WB service for all intents and purposes is video only. It would be weird trying to incorporate comics into that.

I was kind of surprised when WB/DC decided to go with a show/comic combination for DCU when we all knew they were going to do a "pay" WB service eventually as well.

I watched the original Swamp Thing as a kid so I’ve been casually following this. I have no interest in the comic book shows or catalog of comics that I am now just hearing about. I’m sure this service is a huge success...until it gets rolled into WBs when subs drop to anemic levels. They can’t even fulfill Swamp Things initial order.
But you guys enjoy paying a monthly fee for 2 shows.
