Ugh. Really? This show really doesn't want me to watch it.

A pleasant surprise since it almost didn't come back this season.

Wow, I was not expecting that it would get renewed (especially this early), and had already been ready for it to not get renewed last season, so this is great news.

Elementary is apparently a monster in overseas syndication. The show has a huge following both in Europe and Asia. It would have already been canceled if not for its overseas appeal.

Solid story again this week. I love what is happening the Sherlock mentally this season. That opening scene with him in the satchel not know where it came from was heart wrenching.

The only thing I'm not feeling is the "Michael" storyline... it's trudging along. I hope something with that picks up soon.

I'm not sure what Michael's game is, does he really think that putting Sherlock on his serial-killing trail won't result in his arrest?

I think he feels he can outsmart him.

Yeah. I think he thinks that he can keep several steps ahead of him the entire time, thus keeping Sherlock occupied and sober while also not being arrested.

This season is continuing to gain steam... the acting is so strong (sans creepy Michael... who is on a "do no harm" road trip whilst Sherlock recovers).

Still my favorite show to watch each week. Glad it's on this summer.

I wasn't expecting them to out Michael so quickly in the season. Glad they didn't try to make it as if Sherlock couldn't figure it out.

Re: Elementary (CBS) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 4/30/18

This week's episode ("Meet Your Maker" - S06E12) set up what could possibly be some big changes coming to the precinct... and I'm not sure I'm okay with it.

But that moment between Bell and Gregson at the end... that had me tearing up.

This is such a great show!

... and the side story with the trebuchet was hilarious!

Re: Elementary (CBS) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 4/30/18

Looks like Elementary moved from Sundays to Mondays and we got two eps this weekend (S06E15 on 8/12 and S06E16 on 8/13) and 5 more weeks until this season runs out.

I’m enjoying the season, but these two eps were bizarre (voodoo and sex dolls, respectively).

Is the actor quitting or will the character get a last-minute rejection from the FBI?

Methinks that Michael might have something to do with whether we lose Detective Bell or Captain Gregson at the end of this season. (We'll see what happens.)

As for the question of Detective Bell, we have to remember that the initial order for Season 6 was 13 episodes... and it was in episode 12 that the US Marshalls approached him about the position... what we don't know is if that was written before or after the 8 episode extension was given.

Maybe it was something that was going to be saved for Season 7 to answer... and still it might be.

It’s the US Marshall’s. The FBI would be too bureaucrat according to Holmes.

If he leaves I will miss the character.

Re: Elementary (CBS) -- Season 6 Thread -- Premieres 4/30/18

So episode 20 of 21 aired tonight... and this penultimate episode takes a really weird turn, that I for one, didn't see coming...

Spoiler:
... and I don't think that Joan killed Michael.

Looking forward to next Monday's conclusion to Season 6.

Was that the series finale?
Spoiler:

Or are they really relocating the series to London and discarding the rest of the cast?

Now that Moonves is out at CBS, it's very possible Elementary is not coming back. The new CBS execs will want to clean house. The show continues to do gangbusters overseas, but CBS dropping it would drastically alter its budget.

The show was renewed back in May for season seven. Plus this season has been pretty strong in my opinion.

I thought the Michael arch would take longer to play out. Interesting turn of events for the show.
