Jett (Cinemax) -- produced by and starring Carla Gugino -- premieres 6/14/19

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/li...a-jett-1103762

The project was first developed in 2015 by IM Global (which is now Global Road Entertainment).
Cinemax continues to expand its roster of action-packed dramas.

The premium cable network and HBO sibling has handed out a straight-to-series order for crime drama Jett, starring and exec produced by Carla Gugino.

The series revolves around world-class thief Daisy "Jett" Kowalski, who, fresh out of prison, is forced back into doing what she does best by dangerous and eccentric criminals determined to exploit her skills for their own ends. Gugino, who fielded multiple offers again this broadcast pilot season, will play Jett. An episode count and premiere date have yet to be determined.

Sebastian Gutierrez (Snakes on a Plane, Elektra Luxx, Gothica) penned the script and will exec produce and direct. Gugino will exec produce alongside alongside former IM Global president Mark Stern and former founder Stuart Ford and Dana Brunetti. Stacey Levin will co-exec produce, while Kathy Landsberg will serve as the line producer. The series was first put in development in 2015 with Gugino attached at IM Global, which recently merged with Open Road Films to become Global Road Entertainment.

Jett marks a reunion with Gutierrez after she starred in the director's feature Elizabeth Harvest, which premiered this year at SXSW. Her feature credits include Gerald's Game, Watchmen and San Andreas. On the TV side, she next stars in Netflix's The Haunting of Hill House, which is currently in production. Her small screen credits include Roadies, Wayward Pines, The Brink, Political Animals, Californication, Spin City and Chicago Hope. She's repped by CAA and Untitled Entertainment.

Gutierez is with Paradigm and Morris Yorn.

Jett joins a Cinemax scripted lineup that also includes Strike Back, Outcast, Rellik, Warrior and more.

Glad to see Cinemax adding more action themed shows to their roster and Gugino is a nice addition.

Fan of Gugino, but I'd rather have seen them trying to take another pass at Karen Sisco. You would think the timing today would be more receptive to it.

I'd watch her read the phone book. Huge fan. Just drips sexiness. In.

I hope the producer insists on copious nudity.

They forgot her role in 'Son In Law' with Pauly Shore.

She looked pretty damn good in that Netflix movie where she's handcuffed to the bed in lingerie the entire time.

I'd check this out and yeah, wouldn't argue if they revived Karen Sisco.

I'm down with it. Have always felt that Gugino was a good actress who never really got to the level she deserved. She's got the combo of both acting ability and a great body.

Loved her show "Karen Sisco" and her reprisal (sort of) of the character on Justified. I'll watch anything with her in it.

The CINEMAX drama series JETT begins its nine-episode season this June, it was announced today by Kary Antholis, president, HBO Miniseries and CINEMAX Programming. The show is created, written, directed and executive produced by Sebastian Gutierrez (“Gothika”).

JETT stars Carla Gugino (“San Andreas”, “The Haunting of Hill House”) as world-class thief Daisy “Jett” Kowalski. Fresh out of prison, she is forced back into doing what she does best, and a cast of morally ambivalent, dangerous and eccentric criminals, from budding femme fatales to compromised law enforcers, are determined to exploit her skills for their own ends.

The series also features Giancarlo Esposito (“Breaking Bad”), Elena Anaya (“The Skin I Live In”), Michael Aronov (“The Americans”), Gaite Jansen (“Peaky Blinders”), Chris Backus (HBO’s “Big Little Lies”), Gil Bellows (“Ally McBeal”), Jodie Turner-Smith (“Nightflyers”), Gentry White (“‘The Shannara Chronicles”), Violet McGraw (“The Haunting of Hill House”), Lucy Walters (“Get Shorty”) and Mustafa Shakir (HBO’s “The Deuce”).

JETT is created, written, directed and executive produced by Sebastian Gutierrez; executive produced by Carla Gugino, Mark Stern, Stuart Ford, Dana Brunetti; co-executive produced by Stacey Levin.

This will be my favorite series of the year even if it's terrible.

So it looks like Cinemax is stocking up their Friday night timeslots through the summer.

Currently Strike Back is airing, after that in April will be Warrior and I assume after Warrior wraps, we'll get Jett.

I'm glad that Cinemax went back to edgy action shows as opposed to their experiment with drama/horror.

I saw Gugino on Sunday in the crowd at the Tribeca Apocalypse Now screening.

I'm not sure what it is . other than the obvious, but I will watch anything that she's in. Damn, does this mean I have to get Cinemax now?
