Man, as someone who spent countless hours at Gwinnett Place Mall in the 80s, seeing it reborn as "Starcourt Mall" is just.. surreal as fuck.

That’s what I based my response on.

I wasn't feeling this trailer. I didn't like the song selection and it didn't seem scary at all. The last 20 seconds was a nice montage but the build up to the variant demogorgon was a let down. It just looked like some generic CGI monster.
Of course I'm still looking forward to seeing season 3. But Cobra Kai Season 2 had the better trailer.

Season two didn’t really feel like a midpoint, so a total of five seasons seems about right.
I don’t think there’s much of a chance of Netflix cancelling it before the Duffers have told their story. It might not be Netflix’s top show, but it seems to move a ton of merchandise.

I am pretty sure this is their top viewed show.

It hovers in the top ten, but it trails behind the Marvel shows and 13 Reaons Why, and on some lists I’ve seen, it’s also behind House of Cards and Orange is the New Black.
It’s sort of difficult to get a solid grasp on Netflix ratings, though, because a lot factors skew things.
I think their most streamed shows are things Frasier, That 70s Show, and Shameless. Which sort of make sense because those series have extensive catalogs and people are binging them; each one is over one hundred hours long, while Stranger Things is only something like seventeen hours.

There’s top secret, and then there’s Stranger Things.
The third installment of Netflix’s phenomenon, which returns July 4, is under lock and key, but creators Ross and Matt Duffer did give EW some big clues as to ST3’s plot.
“We would say that this is our most unapologetically fun season,” says Ross. “Yet at the same time, it is also our most horrifying and intense season. It’s this wild mix of tones that we think really sets this season apart.”
Huge pop culture buffs, the Duffer brothers exclusively revealed to EW the films that inspired Stranger Things 3:
Fast Times at Ridgemont High
The Thing
Romancing the Stone
Midnight Run
Indiana Jones
Jurassic Park
The films of David Cronenberg

The tone of this season definitely looks like it has a lot more lighter aspects to it. When you have so much funny stuff, it's harder to go back to the horror. I'd prefer they didn't go that route, but I think they're just trying to appeal to an even broader audience.
I also don't like when the homages to 80s films are so obvious. The Aliens one took me right out the story. Either way, I'm still looking forward to Season 3.

I’m a sucker and ordered the set. They offered a bit of a discount (15%) to first time Coke Store buyers. Got it down to like $17 and change shipped. Normally I wouldn’t have gone for it, but the fact that it’s an online exclusive and the tie in with Stranger Things got me to order.

It's been a year and a half wait, but I'm hoping this will be worth it. Everything looks extremely promising so far...

Dang that looks good. I'm going out of town to visit family on the 4th. I won't be able to watch it for a few days. I'm going to try and not watch six episodes in a day like I did with season 2.
