Loving this season even more than last. Any reason why Garcia was just an afterthought in this episode? Cool fight in the hospital. I like how they are trying to give Jessica something to do besides stand there. She contributed when they tried to find JFK

Re-watching this episode now. They addressed this issue in the bunker when Jiya tells Rufus and Connor she's confident they'll find JFK because they all still knew him as President Kennedy in 2018. She was convinced it proved he would be returned to 1934 and go on to become president.

Thanks, I completely missed that.

I'm from the Bay area and never realized the connection either.

More time travel stupidity from Rufus, and nobody is calling him (or Lucy) on it. This is becoming rather annoying.

Yep, it's really dumb.

The scene in the girl’s bedroom where JFK learns the fate of his family members was really well done and heartbreaking. :(

This really bothered me and I wanted her to stop talking, but I realize she didn't really believe he was JFK at first.

Rufus trying to change history by telling JFK not to go to Dallas.

Why is that dumb? I mean, wouldn't you be tempted to warn JFK about his fate if you had the chance? Plus unlike Jiya, Rufus originally didn't believe in fate or that history is set in stone, right? I think maybe he's heading in that direction, especially after his attempt to change that pilgrim's fate in Salem failed as well as his attempt to change JFK's fate, but I think it's these failures that will eventually make him realize some events can't be changed no matter what.

Because all the rules of time travel I grew up with are that you shouldn't try to change history because of the Butterfly Effect. :) Just looking at in context of the show, the characters have seen weird stuff happen when they cause past events to change. You could argue that saving JFK is more important than saving your own family member, of course, but who's to say something worse couldn't happen.
