Re: Fear the Walking Dead (S4E08) -- Mid-Season Finale -- "No One's Gone" -- 6/10/18
It is the only reason I will return for the back half of the season. I would feel like a hypocrite if - after calling for Madison's destruction for three years - I finally got it and then tuned out. It also frees me up to root for Alicia's death full time.
Previous seasons were definitely worse, with the show hitting rock bottom in season three. But I actually enjoyed the way the show seemed to be heading for the first 5 or 6 episodes. Yes, the Clark's were still a sick joke but you could feel the show trying to get away from them. But then the last two episodes were just saturated with ridiculous. Maybe this was the appropriate send-off for everything that was terrible about the show to this point. I hope that's the case and the improved parts of this season are all that carry forward.

I wasn't watching closely, but was there a dumpster anywhere near Madison? I have trouble with the show killing her off in a fire and her just standing there to let it happen. I really expect them to have her show up down the road at some point. Ugh this episode especially the around the campfire story telling of Madison's death was really awful.

Yes, the even ruined what joy there could have been with Madison's death. Oh well, at least she is gone. If the show continues the same pattern during part 2 of the season, I don't give her daughter long either. The clips for part 2 of the next season it appears they dump the different time line stuff as well. Which makes sense since it was just a way to kill Nick and Madison and still have them appear throughout part 1 of the season.

I just watched the 8 episodes and my reaction is invariably "this is 10 times better than TWD!", so I guess that clouds all the flaws for me.

would not surprise me in the least if she were clearing her schedule for the Deadwood movie and then reprise the role in season 4 like they have done with other characters mysterious disappearances. Ophilia, Ruben Blades, Danny etc

If her return is up in the air, the primary factor for whether Madison returns or not is probably how the second half of the season plays with fans of the show. It's already getting a far better response with far less of the original cast. Doubt they revert back to characters like Madison if the show is doing far better without her.

If Madison comes back that will be the last second of the show that I watch.

The ironic thing for me is I figured i would be bailing due to Maggie Grace and Jenna Elfman making the series even worse. To my surprise it's been quite the opposite. First time I've liked either of them in anything.

It's just hitting the news today that Chris Hardwick is the latest to be erased, due to accusations made by his old girlfriend Chloe Dykstra (she didn't actually name him, -which is smart legally, I guess, -but just heavily indicated him) . I guess we'll have to see if there's still going to be a . AMC immediately dropped his "Talking With" show that was returning tomorrow night. Right now I guess it's just a "Stay Tuned" situation...
Update: He's also been dropped (or chosen to drop) out of his upcoming SD Comicon panels, and NBC says it's looking into whether he should be dropped from hosting "The Wall".

Always amazed that that scrub had a career. Totally unfunny and grating personality.

So now being an allegedly shitty boyfriend is all it takes to be expunged from history like a Soviet traitor? Hardwick is a tool who hides behind a nerd mask, but something about this does not ring true.

I watched the Mid-Season Finale last night and it was fine.
I'm nowhere near as blinded by hate and disgust for certain characters like Bill in his little rants.
While the split timeline is a little annoying and causes some confusion, I do think the overall scheme of the season has been more interesting. Even though Morgan has really added nothing, I like John Dorie and I don't mind Al and Naomi.
Judging by how the episode ended, it looked to me like Madison was sacrificing herself. She closed the doors of the stadium while surrounded by hundreds of walkers and set the place ablaze. I really don't think they would pull a Glenn here.
My only issue was how they coincidentally had Al and Madison meet in the flashback.

So Hardwick is back from the ashbin of history, thanks in part to the saintly benevolence of his public accuser:
Shortly after AMC reinstated Hardwick, Dykstra released a statement on social media, saying she chose not to participate in the investigation against him. “I do not believe in an eye for an eye, and therefore I have only shared my evidence with those who I felt should see it,” she wrote.

On the all-new episode, "People Like Us," Morgan tries to help Alicia and the fractured group of survivors as a storm brews. The episode is written by Anna Fishko and directed by Magnus Martens.
The start of the back 8 premieres tonight.
This was already renewed for a 5th season

Did this show ever get better? I bailed after season one. Couldn’t watch stupid people doing stupid things. Realized I haven’t been watching zombies in awhile.

So I re-watched the "Bonus Edition" version of this episode that aired tonight and I found it to be even funnier on second viewing.
