I'm not a cop show person, but I've taken a look at this because of Fillion.
I like it okay, but I really wish they were not so into the body-cam POV.

I missed the 3rd episode on Tuesday, so I watched it online tonight. Best episode so far. The show is getting better episode to episode so far.
I really liked this one a lot. I hope the show gets a multi-year run.

Yeah, I noticed that. The funny thing is I'm 50, and I don't think I run like that - until I try to run, and then I realize I can't even run that well anymore!
So I could TOTALLY relate to Fillion struggling not to look his age when doing foot chase scenes.
The funny thing is William Shatner ran really well at 50 (watch some of those old T.J. Hooker episodes - he had a totally odd, short stride, but he could move pretty quickly). I have no idea how he kept himself in that kind of shape. Clearly, Fillion hasn't...
But the show is still good and getting even better. Fillion's lack of footspeed and running coordination doesn't really hurt the show.

Loved the supermarket shootout in the last episode. when Nolan yanked the shooters legs and he hit his head.
It was a fun episode mixing up the rookies and TO's.
Not surprised that Nolan and Chen broke up at the end. In a way their relationship felt very rushed.

I just can't take this show seriously. They're trying to pass it off as a drama but it really is so outrageous I can't help but keep from laughing most of the time.
Things I've learned from this show:
LA is a war zone.
LA cops pull their guns at almost every call.
LA cops are beautiful.
This version of LA makes SVU's NYC look like a nursery school.
This show is going to last 10 seasons isn't it? Can you see Fillion as a 60yr old beat-cop?

I'm really digging this show. It's getting better as it goes along. Fillion is about 5 years too old for the role, but he's pulling it off fairly well and I'm warming up to most of the rest of the cast.
It will be interesting to see how long the show goes - Fillion's really probably only good for 4 or 5 years before he can't pull it off anymore. But, for now, the show is working really well.

He's not 5 years too old. He's perfect age. This is supposed to be about a guy having a mid-life crisis. He's 47. Pretty much perfect.

My only issue with the age is due to his relationship. He's old enough to be her father in real life. It comes off as creepy.

Disagree. Fillion looks pretty good for 47.

We’re one episode behind, but finished up episode 5. I thought that was one of the best yet.
I never expected to see his home owner, so it’s good to have somebody older that balances that part of Nolan’s life.
I also really liked the end at the food trucks. Think it’s the first scene where they all bonded outside work. Plus there was a good scene in the locker room where both the female TOs opened up about why the competition is so important.

Wrong party to drug a woman's drink
Fuck that was a lot of phone numbers on napkins.
The producer was a fucking moron for picking up the gun.
The Captain.

I'm hoping this episode means they're ending the druggie wife story line. No need for that sub plot, IMO.

Last night's episode was really, really good. The show really took a bit of a dark turn, but the episode worked well. I'm looking forward to the second part next week...
