Picking up approximately three years after the Season Six finale, Jess and Nick return from a European book tour for "The Pepperwood Chronicles." Schmidt and Cece celebrate their daughter, Ruth's (Rhiannon and Danielle Rockoff), birthday with a party, where Jess runs into her ex, Russell (guest star Dermot Mulroney). Meanwhile, Winston and Aly (guest star Nasim Pedrad) try to pick a pregnancy photo in the all-new "About Three Years Later" season premiere episode of NEW GIRL airing Tuesday, April 10 (9:30-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX. Decent enough farewell. The whole eviction being a prank was good. I thought those fliers looked a little fake when I first saw them 
I loved this show, but it definitely ran it's course.

season 2 for me was the best. Schmidt freaking own the season.

I still say Coach ruined the show I totally stopped watching when they added him. It completely ruined their comedic chemistry they all had when he showed up.

s1 and s2 and anything to do with Schmidt was simply the best. Holy shit its been 10 years since they went off air? damn....

You figure they'd let more time pass between the end of the series and when the cast re-unites. It's only been 3 years.
