As to Roseanne at least she won't be reduced to eating cat food. She reportedly has a net worth of ~$80Million.

I went out and bought the Mill Creek complete series set after the Roseanne tweet controversy, as I was afraid her show will now be buried from existance, and I grew up watching the show. I hope season 10 will get released, but I don't know yet.

I still see the set on the shelf at Menards -- yeah, odd place.

It won't be in the media section though. It will be in with whites and linens.

It'll be interesting to see how they try and sell this to audiences..."It's the Roseanne show....but WITHOUT Roseanne."

Surprised all of the cast just agreed to continue without her tbh. Figured at least one would have said no to a show without her (not necessarily as a show of support for her but because it'd be odd continuing without one of the main casts) , but then I was thinking that doing that would likely be the same as career suicide and I guess anyone thinking that figured it was better to just roll with it than to be seen possibily supporting her.

I wouldn't say that. She knows how to deliver snarky lines. Though all the characters do pretty good with that. So maybe it has more to do with the writing. Not sure of her involvement there.

That comedy, mixed with the more emotional moments, is what makes the show good for me. There aren't many shows out there that deliver those good comedic lines. I could look through 50 sitcoms without finding one that makes me laugh and tear up a little. But Rosanne is really good at it, and actually invokes laughter, when I'm sitting alone watching it (which is rare).

I looked forward to each episode last season. I'm definitely going to check this out.

Actually, IMO she isn't even good at that anymore. In those few episodes last season she seemed to have all but lost her comedic timing and abilty to deliver the punchline. Looking back at her stand-up now, I can see she never really had the same kind of ability as her peers that were given sitcoms. She basically was unique and that can get you pretty far.

I wouldn't be surprised if those in the cast whose careers are solid enough that they don't need this show decided to keep going for those whose careers are stalled... ie. the actors who play Becky and DJ.

The Connors will only be for the 13 episodes to fulfill the cast’s contracts and no one will watch because Roseanne won’t be a part of it.

Yeah, I doubt "The Connors" will go beyond one season. A lot of people may watch the first couple of episodes out of curiosity - including the ones who keep saying without Roseanne on it they aren't watching it.

Re: Roseanne (ABC) -- Season 10 Thread -- premieres 3/27/18

Somehow several months ago I stumbled a Norm McDonald "Live" show where he interviewed Rosanne. She was really strange and seemed out of it but at least he did talk about how she gave the writers a lot of leeway when they wrote scripts. If anyone is interested it might be worth searching for the episode. I can't even remember where I saw it but vaguely recall he gave her an Ambien (but isn't that a sedative?) or something mid show.

Re: Roseanne (ABC) -- Season 10 Thread -- premieres 3/27/18

She is back

It is called Hoe privilege

Roseanne Barr didn't hold back on the #MeToo movement in a new off-the-rails interview, launching a verbal attack on Sen. Kamala Harris and other women in the process. The 66-year-old comedian – who was axed from the hit "Roseanne" reboot in May following a racist tweet – sat down with conservative commentator Candace Owens, where she mocked sexual assault accusers and the #MeToo movement "witch hunt.""If you don't run out the room … but you stayed around because you're like, 'I thought maybe he was going to give me a writing job,' well, you ain't nothing but a ho," Barr said during an episode Sunday of "The Candace Owens Show," after asking why women were in men's hotel rooms late at night.

Barr and Owens compared the feminist movement to white supremacy, while Barr added that #MeToo accusers are "pretending that they didn’t go to trade sexual favors for money.""I know a ho when I see one," Barr exclaimed. "They need to be called out …That's privilege, too – ho privilege."

The outspoken comedian then lashed out against Sen. Kamala Harris, nicknaming her "Kama Sutra Harris."

"We all know what she did … she slept her way to the bottom," Barr said, referring to the senator's former relationship with ex-San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown.

Barr also took shots at Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, who tearfully testified against now-Supreme Court Judge Brett Kavanaugh after accusing him of sexual misconduct."She should be in prison," Barr said, adding that Ford used her "white woman privilege" to avoid time behind bars. She claimed that "nothing happened" to Ford. "Women are encouraged to be conniving," Barr said.

"Conniving little wimps," Owens agreed.

Now I'm glad ABC fired the crazy bitch. Like Trump, she just won't shut the fuck up or go away.

Ye Gods, Roseanne Barr is a repulsive excuse for a human being.

If she doesn’t shut her fucking mouth, Roseanne reruns are going to be as tainted as The Cosby Show.

Since her tv career is over, maybe Roseanne Barr is trying transition herself into a conservative speaker/commentator/personality gig? She was interviewed on Jesse Lee Peterson's YouTube channel too.
